Launch your TON site

To run your TON site, you need to run a web server and reverse-proxy.

There are two implementations of reverse-proxy: in C++ and in Golang by Oleg Baranov. Golang is even more stable.

Open a TON site

Popular TON wallets support opening TON sites, for example, mobile Tonkeeper or browser extension MyTonWallet.

You can also install a standalone TON Proxy application by Oleg Baranov.

There is a ton.website service that allows opening TON sites in the browser.

Support the opening of TON sites in your product

You need to build a local entry proxy into your product.

There is a ready-made library and examples of usage for Android and iOS.

The public entry-proxy has been launched for demonstration purposes only, please do not use it.

TON DNS

TON sites use TON DNS. You can purchase a domain at dns.ton.org, NFT marketplaces getgems.io, or at ton.diamonds.

TON Connect

You can log in and interact with the site via TON Connect, which has improved considerably recently.

TON Storage

TON sites can be hosted via TON Storage, but more about that next time..

TON Core ≠ TON Foundation

Please note that the TON Core team is not the TON Foundation.

At the beginning of the formation of the TON community, the name "TON Foundation" was used to refer to a circle of enthusiasts who contributed significantly to the development of the project. There was no legal entity, nor even a formal list of participants. If there had been such a list, it would have changed constantly, as some people lost interest in TON and others joined the work. The TON Core team was obviously among the active developers of the network.

Now, the TON Foundation is a non-commercial organisation registered in Switzerland with specific participants. The Swiss TON Foundation promotes TON, but does not develop TON.

TON Core is still an independent group of top programmers. At the moment we are not members of any organisation and we are in different parts of the world. Sometimes we can meet on the top floor of Palm Tower. Together with the open source community, we continue to work on the technical part of TON as before 🫡

🚀 In 2014, Bitcoin appeared as a revolutionary currency solution, but it had a major flaw: it couldn't match the speed of centralized payment systems like Visa, Mastercard, Alipay, and WeChat Pay. Blockchain technology could handle only 7 transactions per second (tps), while traditional payment systems could handle over 6000 tps. 🏦 💳
