Don't think this should impact the overall market too much after this week.
Let's hope exchanges etc can work together to blacklist the wallets that hold the stolen coins and limit impact.
Still, it's possible that we'll slowly see the hacker sell out of this over time like we've seen with previous similar instances. That would be an annoying supply overhang which isn't ideal short term.
Anyways, not doing anything (besides withrawing funds) as longer term the hack itself doesn't matter much for the market. Just make sure you won't get impacted personally.

Bybit hot wallet got hacked for $1B+ of ETH hence the dump.
Would generally recommend securing your capital if you're exposed heavily on an exchange like this.

Still like this idea. We indeed got the first filing for the staking addition to the ETH Spot ETF. If an issuer like Blackrock or Fidelity does this as well, that'd be great. Will see how it does.
Still rather hold this with some potential upcoming catalysts than one of these new "hot" meme coins which can -90% in 2 weeks if you don't rotate out of it in time. I think the latter are better suited for short term trading. Not long term spot holds (clearly).

BTC - Next area of interest around 93.5K.
If it doesn't hold there then I think this will just keep dribbling down to that ~$90K range low which is going to be a scary one as it got tested quite a few times already.
Would make BTC follow the move alts did and likely wick into the mid 80s or whatever if that is not held either.
Going to be interesting seeing stocks & BTC today. Markets definitely risk off and preparing for some bad things with the tariffs and now inflation worries.
Not something I'd like to knife catch but I'll be monitoring in case we do see some unexpected strength somewhere.

Not much changes in the market. BTC just ranging. Market awaiting the next tariff announcement by Trump.
Think there's a good case to be made for a local bottom pretty soon if CPI comes in nice on Wednesday.
For now, it's just a headline driven market and all I'm doing is holding my spot and monitoring :)

This kinda flew under the radar yesterday.
Blackrock the company itself increased its stake in Microstrategy to 5%. At a ~82B Market cap that's still about a +$800M increase in their holdings.
Since Microstrategy's valuation is only made up of their BTC holdings this basically means Blackrock buying BTC through that vehicle which is interesting. They already held over 4% of course but seems like they are still adding on exposure.
Market is so busy calling tops every day that news like this isn't even reaching people's timelines. Meanwhile, TradFi/Institutions just slowly accumulate more coins. Hence, the BTC strength.

For the market wide βalt seasonβ you do need ETH to lead and the ETH/BTC ratio to bounce.
If that doesnβt happen, youβll still get specific outperforming sectors here and there but it would be unlikely to see a market wide alt season.
Letβs hope Vitalik getting louder and them changing the Ethereum Foundation can stir things up in 2025.

Also, Elon has already been showing he cares less and less about tweeting random things about D.O.G.E or other memes that could potentially impact the market. He knows very well what he's doing but he doesn't care anymore seeing he's pretty much safe from all the SEC drama for the next few years lol.
I think this helps DOGE over the next year. It's my main "meme" coin hold as I think it's a pretty safe one in the long run.

Looks good to me so far. I'm not sure what happens in the short term but generally pretty bullish for Q1 so the red button is disabled and I'm looking to add/compound on dips.
The moment to take risk is early on in the move. Not when everything is up 30-50% again weeks from now.
Would still recommend to just sit in spot and chill as that's the most reliable way to make it in this market.

ETH Has been showing some solid strength the past 1-2 weeks. This has sparked a lot of strength by many altcoins including DeFi, which was pretty dead earlier.
Think ETH has some room left to move up relative to BTC. At least to get to new all time highs over the next few weeks.
I'm just sticking with the holds I have and also the BTC & ETH exposure I got currently. My BTC bag is still about 2x my ETH bag in terms of size.

Good leverage flush on BTC mainly.
Alts holding up better but generally those do go down if BTC were to dive lower. Will see where BTC wants to go tomorrow.
Iβm glad Iβve not been actively trading this week as I was sure some leverage flush was due, just not when and where. In those scenarioβs Iβd rather just wait it out and see when it happens.
Will see what I wake up to tomorrow. Some downside/correction would not be bad for the market as it would mean we can grind higher later on while not overheating too much in one go.

We finally broke the $100K level and I'm sure this will get crypto in the media spotlight again.
You will see family and friends getting interested and this is when the real retail inflow will begin.
In the short term, funding rates etc are getting a bit overheated but that can stay for a while. Just don't be spooked when we get the eventual flush lower. These are usually quick and retrace back up quickly. We'll get several of these as the market trends up. Nothing new there.
My plan is to just hold on to my spot holdings. I will start very slowly scaling out and build up some stables by EOY and during 2025. This is what I did in 2021 and it has worked well back then. Keep the emotions out of it and take small percentages out each week/month or leg up. Whatever fits you best.

Gm! I've not been updating a lot of extra stuff here because I don't see much immediate action or good insights currently.
I've just been taking it chill, waiting for BTC to choose its next direction. Happy with my sport portfolio as it is, some coins ripping, others aren't.
Not going to swap any holds around either way and/or chase green candles on others.
So for me its just a time to charge back up some energy after the crazy few weeks we've had.

ETH/BTC - So far so good. Funnily enough, it keeps bouncing around the .618 fibonacci retracement level from the new leg up.

Some coins to watch IF ETH/BTC remains strong (from the top of my head):
DeFi: EIGEN, UNI, LDO, AAVE, ENS, ETHFI, ENA, MKR

Funny to see ETH/BTC take off right away.
Key will now be for ETH and especially ETH/BTC to make a higher low and try to sustain this small reversal for longer than just a single hourly candle. That's where it has failed in the past and a bigger trend change needs that to change.
For now I'm just letting this all play out, chilling in my spot and flat on perp trades as we speak.
No need to rush into green candles, there will always be retraces & higher lows created.

Not sure when/where it happens exactly but I'm pretty sure ETH/BTC is going to pump a decent amount while almost no one is allocated or is expecting it. And I think it's pretty close.
At that point people will be waiting for it to retrace, as it has been doing that on every minor pump it has done the past few months/years.
But I think the next impulse up for ETH/BTC is likely to have some legs and go for some proper relief. So that's the confirmation I'd be waiting for to put on more altcoin exposure in the short term.
At this point a move back to 0.04 which it traded at 2 weeks ago, is already 20%+. This should absolutely send the overall altcoin market and bring BTC Dominance down a decent amount. I also think after this is all done, we'll likely hit a short term top in the market. Good place to scale some profits out 2-3 weeks into these kind of rallies.
So while I can't say with a lot of confidence when, I think we'll get it relatively soon when the upside on ETH seems more attractive to buyers than BTC (already being nearly $100K now).
With that, I think there's a ton of shorts on ETH that will have to close out at some point. Therefore the move is likely going to be swift as shorts squeeze it higher.
Whether this will end up being a higher term ETH/BTC reversal, I'm not sure yet. But I do think a lot of alts, primarily ETH related alts (L2s, DeFi etc) should see some explosive moves in a short time span when ETH leads the way.

For what it's worth, I think most of the bid in this market right now is Saylor max bidding BTC.
Not a love for CEX alts until then.
Really need BTC to come down a bit from its ATH and then I think alts will shine once it bottoms out.
As long as we make new all time highs daily, it's going to be hard for Bitcoin Dominance to come down and alts to outperform BTC.
Once BTC does cool down, it's going to give a nice wealth effect though. Should at some point somewhat trickle down to alts.

Think we'll see some volatility being the second to last trading day before the elections start on Tuesday next week.
Not sure what to expect for the weekend, wouldn't be surprised if we see it move a bit as we're so close to the elections now.
I'm still taking it a bit slow. Do think it's good to have seen some overall derisking/profit taking as that would diminish any short term dump on a Harris win.
Generally my idea is still:
Trump win = BTC up 10%+ same day, likely a lot of craziness & upside for a week or two. Then get some flush as everyone is overleveraged and continue higher afterwards.
Harris win = BTC down 10% same day, might see some further bleeding afterwards and a choppy rest of November. Do think this should eventually be bought up and see a recovery into EOY and new highs after.
Bullish for 2025 either way.

Looking to potentially enter on GOAT in the green zone. Won't put bids or anything. Just curious to see its reaction if it gets there. Little meme coins I'm interested in but this one peaks my interest.
Will see how everything unfolds post election etc. Think we can see this range/bleed for several weeks before potentially going for another big run.
Think this will go to $1B+ at some point just because it's a sector leader.
For now I have 0 exposure to this.
