It is a rare yet beautiful coincidence when the New Moon & New Year are aligned within a 24 hour window.
We are entering a year which totals a minor 7 and major 9.
Both 7 and 9 are completion numbers. The 7 completes a spiritual cycle whereas the 9 completes a physical cycle.
This coming year 2025 marks a completion on both levels. Albeit it can be at varying levels for each and everyone.
The current retrogrades and any up coming retrogrades are all helping our cause.
When karmic cycles close. It is a time for new beginnings. The seeds of those beginnings are sown either long in advance or with immense intensity in the now, like water piercing through the rock of old calcified energies.

Mars entered its retrograde shadow in early October. Actually turning retrograde on 6 December. It will turn direct in late February 2025 and will completely come out of its shadow by mid March 2025.
Mars the energetic, focused, disciplined, yet passionate soldier - retrogrades every two years; covering those two years worth of ground for any corrections.
A positive Mars reveals Pure Devotion to a higher cause. While on the other hand, a Mars negative causes dysfunction, frustrations, even anger and aggression.
Mars energy is the earth's immediate link to more subtle dimensions. Therefore a positive Mars becomes the perquisite to spiritual evolution.

This weekend, when the sun sets, go outside and look southwest. Venus is shining high in the twilight sky. The best time to see Venus, however, may be an hour later when the planet is just about to set. This is what it looked like near the horizon on Dec. 26th
Venus experienced a green and blue flash," says photographer Kuli ZoltΓ‘n of Piszkesteto, Hungary, who witnessed the colorful display through his 80 mm refracting telescope.
Venus does this all the time when it is sinking toward the horizon. The low atmosphere acts like a prism, splitting the planet into red, green, and blue colors. In the animation ZoltΓ‘n recorded, there is evidence of atmospheric ducts: Pancaked layers of warm and cold air miraged Venus, creating three or four stacked disks, each with its own slice of the rainbow.

Retrogrades: Jupiter & Mars
Jupiter entered its current retrograde shadow in March 2024. This means, that if you observe your personal life events from that time period, you will understand what Jupiter is giving you the opportunity to correct, during this retrograde season.
The actual retrograde began in early October and ends in Feb 2025. Then it continues to move out of its shadow by the end of April.
Once Jupiter is out of its own retrograde shadow, it is likely to gain an accelerated momentum; creating a G-Force effect.

Retrograde Season : Saturn, Mercury, Mars & Jupiter.
We have only just come out of a Saturn retrograde which took up almost the whole of 2024. That would be, entering retrograde shadow, the actual retrograde period and coming back out through the shadow space not to mention the intense energy of Saturn stationary both prior to retrograde and prior to tiring direct.
And it's not even over yet. It ends in mid February 2025 when we've completed the whole process and Saturn is finally out of its own shadow.
Now, we are also currently in the Mercury retrograde. You know the whole drill by now, communication malfunctions.
On a subtle level Mercury is the flow of intelligence manifesting as good communication. The ability to convince others is an attribute of a good Mercury.
During a mercury retrograde this clear flow is disrupted and so we are forced to review, reconsider, realign and rewrite something from the recent past.
Retrogrades are a beautiful way of assisting our growth.

BLACK AURORAS.
Even veteran aurora watchers discover something new, every now and then.
Take a look at this aurora image taken on 22nd November in Alaska by Todd Salat.
Focus in and it appears that there are gaps in the aurora's light field , which might go unnoticed from the layman's observations, who simply get high on the overall splendor of these luminous colours.
However , more experienced observers, with an eye for detail, never miss a thing.
The explanation to this :
Ordinary auroras are caused by electrons raining down from space. Black auroras are the opposite. Instead of electrons raining down, electrons are propelled upwards back into space.
They have even been referred to as "Black Holes" by early observers.
Europe's fleet of Cluster spacecraft flew over a black aurora on Jan. 14, 2001, and saw the process in action:
Why isn't it happening every time ?
What is beaming out of the earth strong enough to propel the elections back up ?

THE 'ANTI-TAIL' OF COMET TSUCHINSHAN-ATLAS:
Comet tails are supposed to point away from the sun. Last night, Nick James of the British Astronomical Association photographed a tail pointing in the opposite direction. "The 'anti-tail' looked amazing in this image of Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS
The anti-tail will fade in the days ahead, even as the comet itself remains a gorgeous sight in the evening sky. Look west about 40 minutes after local sunset. The comet is easy to find using binoculars and, then, once found, is equally easy to see with the unaided eye. The comet's long tail (the real tail) stretches more than 10 degrees above the western horizon, remaining visible in the moonlight for as much as an hour after the head of the comet sets.

VERTICAL STAR TRAILS:
A favorite of astrophotographers since the invention of the camera, star trails are dizzying. Long exposures reveal a swirling vortex of starlight around the North Celestial Pole. Instead of a vortex, however, Wioleta Gorecka recently visited the Seyschelles and found a rain storm:
"Summer is a good time to travel to interesting places. One of them is the equator, where vertical startrails can be photographed," says Gorecka. "During my vacation in the beautiful Seychelles, this was one of my main goals, and the effect exceeded my expectations."
