Scientists from the University of Reading in the UK studied the phenomenon of clear-air turbulence, which is the hardest for pilots to avoid.

They found that from 1979 to 2020, turbulence increased by 55% on busy flight routes.

In 2024, we've already encountered numerous similar cases.

Korean Air noted that in the first quarter of 2024, the number of turbulence incidents increased by 80% compared to the same period last year.

But more serious incidents happen when planes literally "drop" into air pockets without any apparent causes.

For example, on August 9, 2024, a Voepass passenger plane crashed near the Brazilian city of São Paulo.

There were 62 people on board, and no one survived. The plane literally "fell from the sky."

A video surfaced on social media showing the plane falling vertically, entering a spin. The National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil confirmed that the aircraft was in good working condition.

These phenomena are linked to zones of unusual magnetic anomalies caused by disruptions in the Earth's magnetic field. In such zones, the cohesion between molecules decreases, leading to the formation of air pockets.

The abnormal emergence of air pockets is associated with changes currently occurring  in the core of our planet.

Why are hurricanes becoming more intense?

The catastrophic increase in hurricanes on our planet, as we've seen in recent months, indicates that something clearly wrong is going on.

An interesting fact: Air currents during hurricanes move counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere.

The average number of tornadoes in Europe has increased eighteenfold. Tornadoes and hurricanes are now occurring in regions where they have never been seen before, resulting in significant economic losses.

Since 1995, there has been a significant increase in atmospheric moisture content over the oceans, contributing to a substantial rise in the number of tornadoes and hurricanes.

Climate Dialogue: The Future of the Planet and Society Discussed in Morocco

From December 13 to 20, 2024, volunteers from the "ALLATRA" and "Creative Society" projects held meetings with representatives of Morocco’s scientific community.

The events took place across various cities in the country in the format of workshops, presentations, and roundtable discussions. Volunteers visited universities, addressed key issues with city administrations, and met with the mayor of one of the cities.

The topics discussed included:

Solar Flares: A Hidden Threat to Everyone

🕊The conference was organised by the European branch of the Women's Federation for World Peace. The Women's Federation for World Peace (WFWPI) is a women's organization that promotes women as an essential ingredient in creating a peaceful global society. In 1997 WFWPI was granted General Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

🌍 The conference was attended by women from many European countries as well as women from war-torn countries, Africa, the Middle East and Ukraine. For these women, peace, justice and cooperation are not just words. In fact, they spoke a lot from their personal experience, they spoke from their hearts. Many of the women participants are also active in the United Nations and other organizations.

It was an honor and a pleasure to discuss and present our themes at the conference, such as climate change and freedom and democracy in society. Iceland is threatened with a large-scale volcanic eruption due to warming temperatures

Glaciers play a role in keeping volcanic activity in check. However, global warming is gradually weakening this ability. The weight of glaciers and ice sheets suppress volcanoes, but as the ice melts, the pressure on the Earth's crust and mantle decreases, allowing the planet's surface to rise.

On 23.10.2024 in Astana, (Kazakhstan), a conference on "Our Response to Climate Change" was held. This was the final conference of the project "Civil Society Participation in Climate Change Mitigation in Karaganda Region".

Starting October 8, a wave of media publications began circulating in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, creating a negative perception of the ALLATRA International Public Movement. These publications emerged shortly after a Czech journalist, known for publishing critical articles about various groups, was summoned for a preliminary hearing.

Two weeks following the hearing, numerous articles criticizing the ALLATRA Movement appeared simultaneously in the media. Over just nine days, more than 140 articles were published in Slovak outlets, indicating the scale of this media campaign. In these publications, the name "ALLATRA" is often mentioned in the context of a potential threat, potentially fostering fear and anxiety in society. This media activity also appears aimed at influencing the Slovak General Prosecutor’s Office's future actions.

A warning has been issued about rampant "flesh-eating" bacteria in the wake of hurricanes in the US.

Hurricanes Helen and Milton left behind bacteria known to cause "flesh-eating" infections. Florida health officials are warning residents to stay away from floodwaters that may contain Vibrio vulnificus, following a recent rise in cases after the arrival of Hurricane Helen.

When these sea-dwelling bacteria enter open wounds, they can cause a life-threatening condition that quickly kills the skin and tissue around the wound (this destruction looks like half-eaten flesh, hence the name Vibrio vulnificus).

There have been 74 cases and 13 deaths, up from last year's 46 cases and 11 deaths.

The Florida Department of Health "urges residents and visitors to avoid floodwaters and prevent exposure to vibrio in anticipation of flooding and heavy rains caused by Hurricane Milton," — the department said in its latest statement on the matter.

🟢 ANTARCTICA KEEPS TURNING GREEN 🌱

❗️ A rapidly warming region of Antarctica is turning greener at a shocking rate.

🔍 Researchers point to climate change as the driving force behind the change in Antarctica's landscape from white to green. Temperatures on the peninsula have risen by almost 3°C since 1950, far more than is seen in most parts of the planet.

🌍 Satellite images of the region show that the area covered by plants has increased almost 14 times in 35 years. While in 1986 vegetation covered less than one square kilometer of the peninsula, in 2021, almost 12 square kilometers were already green.

🐙 Much of the vegetation — is moss. As mosses spread into previously ice-covered landscapes, they will create a layer of soil, offering habitat for other plant life, invasive species.

⚠️ "Soil in Antarctica is mostly poor or non-existent, but this increase in plant life will add organic matter and facilitate soil formation, potentially opening the way for other plants to grow," — explained Olly Bartlett of the University of Hertfordshire, who was involved in the study.

📌 Earlier, an international group of scientists reported that a magmatic plume is rising from the depths beneath Antarctica. In addition, volcanic and seismic activity is increasing, because there is a group of volcanoes in the region. We had just recovered from Hurricane Helen, which passed nearby as a Category 3 storm and left significant damage. Now, we’re about to be in the very epicenter. A Category 5 storm is heading directly over us.

People are rushing to board up windows. There’s chaos in stores already – shelves are empty, and there's no fuel left at the gas stations. Our phones constantly send alerts, warning us of the approaching hurricane.

Even now, traffic jams are massive as people try to flee. We are planning to drive to Georgia. Booking hotels has been difficult; many are already fully booked. The sky is changing, now heavy with clouds, and some areas are starting to flood. Even more frightening is that debris from the previous hurricane hasn't been cleared yet.
