My friend, constantly losing his phone in the depths of his backpack, came to me for help. He dreamed of a stylish waist pouch for his phone that would not only complement his look but also provide quick access to the device. Being a leatherworker, I took on the task.
I chose vegetable-tanned leather to create the pouch due to its ability to hold shape and provide robust protection from external damage.
After I dyed the leather the desired shade, cut out the pieces using patterns, and carefully punched holes for stitching, it was time to connect the halves. Gluing and sewing the two parts together, I submerged the pouch in water for 15 minutes. To shape it correctly, I then placed a phone dummy inside. A day later, after full drying, I treated the pouch with a protective agent.
The result was an elegant and functional accessory that my friend proudly wears on his belt every day.
