Men@COOS is rallying brothers-in-Christ to come together for a 1-day Spiritual Outreach event which will include a Prayer Walk. This event will be held at COOS@Jurong facilities located on Level 3 of Perennial Business City in Jurong East (formerly Big Box).

We are running a new cycle of Alpha that is based on the Chinese Alpha Film Series which carries English subtitles. This Chinese series can be more relatable to English speakers too due to its Asian setting.

This new cycle commences on Thursday, 13 February, and will run for 10 weeks. It will be held over Zoom at 8pm. Conversations on the weekly topics will be conducted in English or Chinese, tailoring to the fluency of different individuals.

Evergreen Ministry has invited Dr Carol Tan back to provide insights into another topic that is essential for our health and which crosses different age groups. Dr. Tan is a specialist in Geriatric Medicine who headed Geriatric Medicine Services in teaching hospitals including Singapore General Hospital. She has been involved in the set up and licensing of eldercare services including nursing homes, dementia services. She is also passionate about helping everyone age well.

BAPTISM & MEMBERSHIP COURSE
Cycle 1 | Commencing 22 March

The first cycle of our Baptism & Membership Course starts on 22 March and will culminate in a baptism ceremony on 13 April at our Sunday 10.45 a.m. service.

This course is for those who want to undergo water baptism to acknowledge Godโ€™s redemptive grace to us through the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary.

Those who have found a home in COOS and would like to transfer church membership must also complete this course.

Let us grow to be "Better Together" as a church family through our first ever church-wide retreat from 1-4 June!

This retreat brings together our Chinese, Dialect, English and Filipino congregations - children and youths included - to learn from God's Word through 2 much sought after speakers: Pastor Benny Ho and Pastor Eunice Choo. One will speak in English while the other in Chinese and there will be simultaneous translation when they speak so that we can benefit both our English and Chinese speaking members.

Day 1 of this retreat on Sunday, 1 June, is held in church. On Day 2 participants will travel to KSL Hotel, Johor Bahru, for the remainder of the retreat. Accommodation is included and transport is available.

We also heard from him what COOS can do better and what else we can accomplish for God. Tonight we were reminded that it is a precious privilege to be part of the COOS family and it is a wonderful honour to be able to serve the Most High God through our church. โœ๏ธ

Pastor Chris Yang shared his message last weekend about "What Do You Do When God Says 'No?", which was lifted from Paul and Timothy's experience in the Book of Acts.

Our church is getting involved in something that is unprecedented in Queenstown! 7 churches in this vicinity have come together to usher in Christmastide and share the reason behind the season!

Various programmes have been lined up and to kick it off, next Saturday 30 November, we are joining hands to spread festive cheer outside Queensway Shopping Centre. Join us from 5.30-7.30pm for carolling, dance, music. A Christian brass band will also be performing. The shopping centre has also arranged for โ€œsnowโ€!

Letโ€™s also pray that Queenstown will feel the joy of Christmas and come to sense God's love through the unity of the Church.

Dawn the Musical opens tonight! Let's continue to keep this outreach event in prayer. It is a collaborative effort of various Chinese churches in our Diocese of Singapore and we are excited to be a part of this event for the Kingdom of God!

A shuttle bus will be provided from Queenstown MRT Station bus stop (Exit C) and will alight passengers outside church, along Commonwealth Avenue.
