Traffic regulations in Dubai: important points for all drivers

In Dubai, traffic regulations are strictly monitored. Check the fines through the Dubai Police website or app ("Services" → "Road Services"), or call 901.

Driving through a red light is fined 1000 dirhams and 12 black points, and the car can be confiscated for 30 days. For using the phone while driving — 800 dirhams and 4 black NJXTR.

The maximum black points per year is 24. If the rights are exceeded, they are deprived. Points are deducted after completing advanced training courses.

Al-Futtaim Automotive strengthens the fight against counterfeit spare parts in the UAE

In 2024, the company conducted 20 raids in Sharjah, the Northern Emirates and Al Ain, seizing more than 2.5 million counterfeit components worth 7.46 million dirhams. Among the seized goods are oil filters for 2.81 million and air conditioner filters for 0.85 million dirhams.

The value of confiscated parts has increased by 116% since 2021, underscoring the severity of the problem. Counterfeit spare parts threaten the safety of cars and passengers.

Al-Futtaim Automotive has trained 414 government employees and is conducting awareness campaigns about the risks of counterfeiting.
