Price Increase in Accra 🚀
Good evening to you all, I am sure by now most of you have received the emails and pop up messages regarding the price increase in Accra.

So Yes, aside minimum fares which were not increased, prices across all our categories (Base, Economy, Comfort, Send and Airport) have been increased by 10%.

This has been done to help boost driver earnings, as we noticed although fuel prices are dropping, maintenance cost is still high due to the inflating dollar rate.

We hope this encourages you to keep up the good work on the platform.

Apologies to all winners for the fuel vouchers for the month of July, the delay is actually from our partner which is Allied since payment has already been made on our side. Once they make the vouchers available we will contact you all to come for it.

That will end our fuel voucher rewards program, however in replacing that we have some interesting packages regarding Fuel and Commissions coming up😊

If you are on a lower tier I will advise you try and move up because this will be massive.

Trip Fare Reduction Error
Let me also inform you all that we are aware of the error in some of the trip fares which end up reducing at the end of the trip. This has been reported to our Technical team, and they have assure us a fix will be provided this week.

This issues came up earlier this year and we detected and fixed it but we noticed it has come up again, per reports from most of you. And we have also forwarded for the team to look into it.

So rest assured a solution will be made available within this week.

Good morning to you all,
Lemme use this opportunity to clear the air on a wrong assumption going on that our commission is 28-30%, some even say it’s more than that😅

So maybe you’re confusing our commission charges and bonuses with that of our competitor.

For Bolt let me reiterate the fact that we still charge 20% commission, this is the amount we charge you for driving on the Bolt platform.

Now the booking fee is 7.8% , and that is a tax element imposed on us by GRA, and we have factored it into our pricing so that it is paid by riders. So with every trip fare riders pay, the booking fee is part of it. So what happens is that when that payment comes to you, then we take it in addition with the Commission.

And the last time we also did calculations on fuel used by Top Performing drivers who work for a minimum of 12hrs per day, it was around 40%. We also realised for a driver working for a minimum of 12hrs a day, they make around GH750 a week after all expenses are deducted, and this is average, which means some make more than that. That makes a total of Gh3000.00 a month and again this is on average. We have data that shows that some drivers make more than this.

So if you’re struggling with the work I will advise you reach out to driver friends who are really doing well on the platform to guide you.

Also I will advise you stick to one platform, and with that I will recommend Bolt because we give you more orders, which makes it easy for you to win bonuses which will clear your debt if you complete most of them, and at the end of the day you make more profit.
