Gündoğan: “Last season, we were playing against Porto, leading 1-0, and everything was going well. In the second half, around the 60th minute, we suddenly started struggling. It felt like the opposing team became much better, almost as if they had an extra player.

After 10 minutes, I discovered that one of our players had left the pitch to go to the bathroom! It was Lamine. Lamine was an important player, so the coaching staff didn’t want to substitute him right away. They decided to wait for him to return.

When I realized what was happening, I said, 'Guys, what’s going on? We’re playing with 10 players! Don’t you think we should make a substitution?' Eventually, they had to substitute him because he took too long and didn’t come back.”

Anything related to Ronald Araujo’s situation will be addressed next week, after the Spanish Super Cup final. Barça do not intend to sell him, but also don’t want anyone on the team who’s unhappy.

A meeting is expected to take place early next week between Araujo and the club as Barça wants to hear directly from the player if he truly wants to leave this January.

If Araujo expresses his decision to leave, Barça’s valuation of the player, will be at least €50m–55m guaranteed.

Iñigo was included in de la Fuente’s first squad in March 2023 but has not returned since. He can return in the future but it doesn’t seem like an option now as they think of the future.

Two Senegalese youngsters Mouhamed Dabo and Elhadj Malick Cissé have arrived for trials with Barcelona. They both are 16yo midfielders and internationals with Senegal U17.

They will undergo a 15-day trial period with Juvenil B from Monday. Coach Pol Planas will monitor them and see if they can do more internships in the future.
