Alexey Khavetsky is the deputy head of “correctional colony No. 7” in the Vladimir region. From at least the end of May 2023 to February 2024, he personally participated in the torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
They used electric shocks against our soldiers, set guard dogs on them, and kept them without warm clothes in frozen cells. The Defenders were also regularly beaten, leaving them without food, water or medical care.
In this way, the Russians tried to “extort” confessions from Ukrainian soldiers on pre-fabricated cases. Based on the evidence collected, SBU investigators informed Khavetsky in absentia of suspicion.
