We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Engineer with extensive on-site project experience in Photovoltaic (PV) installations.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ on-site experience in the PV industry (solar power installations, EPC projects, or similar).
Managing on-site operations, and ensuring the successful execution of large-scale solar projects. strong leadership skills, and an established network of technicians and on-site foremen.
Key Responsibilities
On-Site Project Management: Oversee and manage day-to-day operations at the PV project site, ensuring that work is carried out according to the approved plans, specifications, and timelines.
Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate a team of site engineers, technicians, foremen, and laborers to ensure efficient execution of tasks. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards of quality control throughout the construction process, conducting regular inspections, and identifying any deviations from specifications or safety standards.
Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and ensure the project site is compliant with all local safety regulations and best practices.
Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating with procurement and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and frequent communication with the Project Manager, clients, and other stakeholders to report on progress, challenges, and risks.
Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during the construction phase, working closely with the design and engineering teams.
Documentation: Ensure proper documentation of site activities, daily reports, and compliance records for project audits and quality assurance.
Key Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ on-site experience in the PV industry (solar power installations, EPC projects, or similar).
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or related field preferred).
Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of PV systems, electrical work, installation processes, and construction methods.
Network: Proven ability to build and maintain a strong network of technicians, on-site foremen, and subcontractors to facilitate project completion.
Project Management Skills: Experience managing site operations, coordinating teams, and overseeing multiple aspects of construction projects, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain project quality.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage on-site personnel and subcontractors effectively.
Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
Problem Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions quickly and under pressure.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
Certifications (Preferred): Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA), and training in PV systems or project management (e.g., PMP) would be a plus.
