These rules apply only to PA accounts, not Evaluation accounts. With APEX 3.0, we’ve eliminated many rules and simplified everything, focusing primarily on risk management. Traders can now focus on managing risk without worrying about complex guidelines.
👉Key Rule Changes:
No more flipping, DCA, or bracket breakout rules.
No restrictions on morning open trades or news trades (just don’t be long and short at the same time).
Auto-trader and bot usage are allowed, as long as they are actively managed.
👉Contract Scaling:
Trade half contracts until you surpass the trailing threshold. For example, a $50k account allows 5 full contracts until you reach $52,600. Once past the threshold, full contracts can be traded.
👉Risk Management:
A maximum 5:1 risk-to-reward ratio applies (e.g., don’t risk more than $500 to make $100).
Do not let your open PnL exceed 30% of your starting profit balance for the day.
👉30% Rule Example:
On a $50k account with a trailing threshold of $2,500, don’t let a single open trade go beyond $750 in negative PnL.
After reaching the $52,600 mark (no more trailing threshold), calculate 30% based on your profit balance. If your account balance falls below this, go back to using 30% of the trailing threshold.
