*• Each subject contains a specific credit point. Credit reflects the value of that subject.*

*• For Honours Courses, you will have 3 subjects as core of your department in a semester. It is known as DSC (Discipline Specific Course). These are main subjects.*

*• In 1st Semester, there are three DSCs - DSC 1, DSC 2 & DSC 3.*

*• In 2nd, they will be called as DSC 4, DSC 5 & DSC 6 and so on.*

*• There will be 18 DSC Subjects across the 3 Year Course, 3 in each semester.*

*• In Program Courses, there will be a combination of 2 department subjects. For major one, there will be 2 subjects in 1 semester and for the minor one, there will be 1 subject in 1 semester. It would amount to 3 Discipline Specific Course which will include 2 from major and 1 for minor.*

*DSC 1 & DSC 2 for major and DSC 3 for minor.*

*In a 3 year UG Course, there will be a total of 18 DSC Subjects, 3 in each semester. 18 DSC Subjects would include 12 of Major & 6 of Minor.*

*• Then the course structure is similar for both Hons & Prog.*

*• The 4th subject will be either General Elective (GE) or DSE (Discipline Specific Elective)*

*• In the 5th & 6th Semester both GE & DSE will be there.*

*• DSE is an additional main subject of your department/course.*

*• GE is an additional main subject of other department/course.*

*• If you choose one subject GE and continue to take that subject as GE in all semesters, you will get a minor degree in that subject.*

*• So, it's better to take the same GE across the semesters.*

*• Take the GE as per your interest and keep it the same in all semesters.*

*• You will have 6 GE Subjects & 2 DSE in 3 years UG Course.*

*• Or you will have 4 GE Subjects & 4 DSE Subjects in 3 years UG Course.*
