*🔹 DU 3 Year UG Courses Structure under NEP :-*
*• There are total 7 Subjects for the UG Course in the first 4 semesters each. In the 5th & 6th Semester (3rd year), there are only 6 Subjects.*
*• There will be total 40 subjects in 3 year UG Course.*
*• DSC 1, DSC 2, DSC 3, GE, SEC, VAC & AEC are 7 subjects initially. Later DSE to be added & VAC & AEC removed.*
*• Each subject contains a specific credit point. Credit reflects the value of that subject.*
*• For Honours Courses, you will have 3 subjects as core of your department in a semester. It is known as DSC (Discipline Specific Course). These are main subjects.*
*• In 1st Semester, there are three DSCs - DSC 1, DSC 2 & DSC 3.*
*• In 2nd, they will be called as DSC 4, DSC 5 & DSC 6 and so on.*
*• There will be 18 DSC Subjects across the 3 Year Course, 3 in each semester.*
*• In Program Courses, there will be a combination of 2 department subjects. For major one, there will be 2 subjects in 1 semester and for the minor one, there will be 1 subject in 1 semester. It would amount to 3 Discipline Specific Course which will include 2 from major and 1 for minor.*
*DSC 1 & DSC 2 for major and DSC 3 for minor.*
*In a 3 year UG Course, there will be a total of 18 DSC Subjects, 3 in each semester. 18 DSC Subjects would include 12 of Major & 6 of Minor.*
*• Then the course structure is similar for both Hons & Prog.*
*• The 4th subject will be either General Elective (GE) or DSE (Discipline Specific Elective)*
*• In the 1st 2 semesters you have to choose Only GE and In 3rd & 4th semester you will have the option to choose between them. It is advised to choose GE.*
*• In the 5th & 6th Semester both GE & DSE will be there.*
*• DSE is an additional main subject of your department/course.*
*• GE is an additional main subject of other department/course.*
*• If you choose one subject GE and continue to take that subject as GE in all semesters, you will get a minor degree in that subject.*
*• So, it's better to take the same GE across the semesters.*
*• Take the GE as per your interest and keep it the same in all semesters.*
*• You will have 6 GE Subjects & 2 DSE in 3 years UG Course.*
*• Or you will have 4 GE Subjects & 4 DSE Subjects in 3 years UG Course.*
*• There will be total 8 Subjects for DSE & GE combined.*
*• Other three subjects are Skill & Value Based. The concept of these three subjects are same across all the UG Courses.*
*• 5th Subject is SEC (Skill Elective Course). It is for Skill Development. There are many SEC Subjects. A student has to choose one out of it. Every semester, a student has to choose different SEC Subject. There are total 6 SEC Subjects in 3 year UG Course.*
*• 6th Subject is VAC (Value Addition Course). It is only for 1st 4 Semesters (i.e. 2 years) and will not be there in 3rd year.*
*• Each student has choose to one VAC Subject in each semester. One VAC Subject can't be repeated in other semester.*
*• There are total 4 VAC Subjects in 3 year UG Course.*
*• 7th Subject is AEC (Ability Enhancement Course). It is for only 1st 2 Years and will not be there in 3rd year.*
*• There are two major Subjects - EVS & Regional Languages, to be taught in alternative semesters. EVS will be taught in 2 parts EVS - 1 & EVS 2 in the course of 2 Semesters.*
*• Beside it, Every student has to choose a regional language or Hindi and have to study it. It will be taught for 2 Semesters.*
*• So, there will be 4 AEC Subjects in 3 Year UG Course, 2 EVS Subjects & 2 Language Subjects.*
*• All the DSC Subjects contain 4 Credits each, making a total of 12 Credits in 1 semester.*
*• Total Credits for DSC Subjects in 3 years -> 72*
*• GE & DSE Subjects contain 4 Credits each. They combined contain 4 Credits in 1st 4 semesters each and 8 in last 2 Semesters each.*
*• Total Credits for DSE & GE Subjects in 3 Years -> 32*
*• SEC, VAC & AEC Subjects contains 2 Credits each.*
*• They contain 6 Credits in 1st 4 semesters each and 2 in each last 2 Semesters.*
