🇸🇬 Celebrating National Day is especially meaningful when we reflect on how far we have come as a nation.
🐟 Our Town’s heritage is, perhaps, best symbolised by the fishes and the means they provided to early settlements; the fishing boats that were a familiar sight in Kangkar in the 1980s, providing sustenance and fostering a vibrant community.
🛶They are also symbolic of the many challenges which the Town had to navigate, in order to make the remarkable transformation we are witnessing today possible.
🌊 This year, much like the meandering rivers that connected settlements, we stay connected as one. We celebrate this journey together with Sengkang Town Council, residents and fellow Singaporeans.
