Last week , Disable Services Unit in collabration with IIUMSU were celebrating White Cane Day , a significant event dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of the white cane as a symbol of independence for individuals with visual impairments.

This event aimed to educate the IIUM community about the challenges faced by the visually impaired and to promote a more inclusive and empathetic environment.

The celebration of White Cane Day serves as a reminder that together, we can build a society that values and upholds the dignity of all individuals, regardless of their abilities.
