Maraña: Organismo is an interdisciplinary performance company renowned for its immersive wool art installations created by Chilean artistic director, Paula Riquelme. Founded in 2018 with artists from around the world, it now unites an all-women team to create an organic vertical universe, blending aerial acrobatics, object theater, live music to transport the audience on a sensorial and unique experience.
A multidisciplinary sensorial performance piece. Between live art installation, contemporary circus, object theater and live music. Based around an intricate wool scenography entirely knitted by its Chilean director, Maraña is an aesthetic experience that envelops the audience in an experiential plane, both organic and haptic. The colors, materials, sensations and sounds take visitors into a kaleidoscopic, immersive world. The collective momentum brings the art installation to life in a multidimensional way, weaving a being out of thread, hands and bodies. An ocean of movement and live music flows together to electronically and percussively animate this organism, where physical precision and blind trust interlace the performers together. ORGANISMO is the embodied reminder of the collective breath and the collaboration in being part of something greater than us, a shared we.
