Today marks our 78th Independence Day, a time for celebration and reflection on our nation's achievements. Over these decades, we've made remarkable strides in various fields - from pioneering space missions to cricket victories, economic growth, improved literacy rates, and advancements in healthcare. These accomplishments are indeed worthy of pride and commemoration.

However, amidst our celebrations, we must confront a deeply troubling reality that casts a shadow over our progress. The recent horrific incident involving inhumane abuse and murder of a doctor is a stark reminder of the darkness that prevail in our society . This tragedy should fill us with shame and sorrow, compelling us to question how such acts can occur in our supposedly advancing nation.

As we honor our independence, we must also acknowledge that true freedom remains elusive for many, particularly women who continue to face violence and discrimination. This incident serves as a painful reminder that our journey towards a just and safe society is far from complete.

The day white aprons turned RED
The 78 years of independence made no sense

For me this loss feels personal , last year only I gave mains from ORN, studying in the same basement libraries , complaining about the same waterlogged streets , my friends who took coaching were attending the same basement classes with 500 strength .
We Stand with the aspirant community and the families of the aspirants who lost their lives yesterday.

In light of the yesterday’s tragic incident in ORN, where several aspirants lost their lives due to waterlogging in a coaching center basement, I urge all students to prioritize their safety above all else.
To all aspirants:
β€’ Please stay at home during heavy rains and flooding. Your life is precious and irreplaceable.
β€’ Remember, coaching centers are not essential for UPSC success. Many have cleared the exam through self-study and online resources.
β€’ If you must venture out, avoid basements and low-lying areas during monsoon season.

To parents:
Your child's safety is paramount. Please encourage them to prioritize their well-being over attending physical classes during hazardous weather conditions.

Let us come together as a community to support one another and ensure such tragedies never occur again.
Success in UPSC is important, but not at the cost of your life.
Stay safe, stay informed, and take care of yourselves and each other.

Possible outcomes of the exercise and their solutions
1) some problematic areas can be found and we can work upon them
2) time can be a major issue , without any time bound you maybe able to solve many questions - practice will sort it out
3) selection of questions can be a problem where you chose some lengthy ones
4) Full neglect of CSAT - will be careful about it in the next attempt

One help that I can offer from my side guys :
Take a break to shed your emotions then pickup 2024 CSAT paper , try to do it without any time bound , try to note the time of every question , try to note which topics you are not able to do , try to gauge your accuracy in RCs… try to complete this exercise in month of july , based on these results we will try to find problematic areas and I’ll try to take some lectures or discussion sessions on those topics

Huge congrats to all UPSC Prelims warriors who aced it!
This is a well-deserved moment to celebrate your hard work and dedication. But remember, this is just one step in the journey. Take some time to recharge and get ready for the next phase!
For those who didn't clear this time, don't let discouragement set in. This exam is a marathon, not a sprint. Analyze your mistakes, strategize, and come back even stronger next year. We believe in you! ✨
Here are some tips for everyone:
β€’ Analyze the exam: Figure out your strengths and weaknesses. Focus on improving weaker areas.
β€’ Don't lose sight of your goal: Remember why you started this journey. Keep the bigger picture in mind.
β€’ Seek support: Talk to fellow aspirants, mentors, or join a support group on Telegram.
β€’ Refine your strategy: Re-evaluate your study plan and materials. Make adjustments where needed.
β€’ Stay positive: Believe in yourself and your ability to achieve your dream.
Also those who want to leave preparation to take a break or to look for an alternative career , please plan it well , don’t be impatient to take any random opportunity, work on your skill and formulate a good plan B and prepare the same way you did for upsc
Remember, every successful attempt brings you closer to your final goal. Keep striving, keep learning, and never give up!

All those who have understood the philosophy behind this source tracing and has solved the PYQs in the pdf provided by me should’ve found the paper a bit easier …. All those who will appear next year , its your homework to cover all these questions as a part of your csat preparation

Opinion about CSAT -
1) Definitely easier than last year
2) maths and reasoning were very much on lines of earlier PYQs
3) however , the trend of asking lengthy questions continued which makes it a moderate paper
4)45+ is a good attempt
