लोग भगदड़ में मर गए… और किसी को फ़र्क़ तक नहीं पड़ा।
भीड़ दौड़ रही थी,
किसी को नहीं पता था कि वो बचने के लिए भाग रहे हैं या मरने के लिए।
चारों तरफ धक्का-मुक्की, चीखें, गिरे हुए लोगों पर दौड़ते कदम,
कोई गिरा तो फिर उठने का मौका ही नहीं मिला—
उसकी छाती पर दर्जनों पैर पड़े,
उसकी पसलियाँ टूटीं,
उसका दम घुटा,
पर भीड़ चलती रही।
कोई बचने के लिए चिल्ला रहा था,
कोई अपनों को ढूंढ रहा था,
पर भगदड़ में आवाजें भी मर जाती हैं।
एक बच्चा अपने पिता का हाथ पकड़े हुए था,
धक्का लगा, हाथ छूटा…
और फिर वो अपने पैरों से नहीं,
लोगों के पैरों के नीचे घसीटकर चल रहा था।
उसकी आँखें किसी को ढूंढ रही थीं,
उसके नन्हें हाथ किसी का सहारा मांग रहे थे,
पर कोई नहीं रुका।
किसी ने उसे कुचल दिया,
और अगले ही पल किसी और ने…
और फिर किसी और ने।
कोई माँ अपने बच्चे को बचाने के लिए उसे सीने से चिपकाए खड़ी थी,
पर भीड़ ने उसे रौंद दिया।
वो गिर पड़ी,
उसकी बाहों में उसका बच्चा आखिरी बार तड़प उठा,
और फिर एक दमदार झटका आया—
उसका सिर किसी के जूते तले कुचल गया।
सन्नाटा… और फिर सिर्फ भगदड़।
चारों ओर सिर्फ बेजान शरीर पड़े थे,
कुछ की आँखें खुली थीं, पर उनमें कोई रोशनी नहीं बची थी।
किसी की उंगलियाँ अभी भी किसी का हाथ पकड़ने के लिए फैली थीं,
पर वो हाथ जो पकड़ने वाला था, वो भी ठंडा हो चुका था।
कोई पिता अपने बेटे की लाश के पास बैठा उसे हिला रहा था,
“उठ ना बेटा, देख तेरा स्कूल बैग घर पर रखा है… तेरी मम्मी तुझे ढूंढ रही है…”
पर उस बेजान शरीर में कोई हलचल नहीं हुई।
कोई नहीं सुन रहा था।
लोग बस चल रहे थे…
वीडियो बना रहे थे…
अख़बारों में हेडलाइन बन रही थी…
“भगदड़ में 15 मरे, प्रशासन जाँच करेगा।”
और अगले दिन…?
दुनिया फिर से अपनी रफ्तार में लौट आई।
पर जिनके अपने चले गए,
उनके लिए समय वहीं ठहर गया।
सच्चाई यही है—
यहाँ लोग कुचलकर मर जाते हैं… और बाकी लोग बस आगे बढ़ जाते हैं।
जैसे कुछ हुआ ही नहीं…

☘️But by then, the world will have moved on. No one will care about the dreams you never chased. No one will cry for the life you wasted. No one will remember the person you could have been.
☘️That version of you—the strong one, the successful one, the one who changed lives—will be nothing more than a ghost. A shadow of what could have been. And you will never get him back.
☘️And for what? Because you were tired? Because you were lazy? Because it was easier to sit and scroll, to sleep in, to wait for ‘the right time’ while your life slipped through your fingers like sand?
