We are pleased to announce that the Taiwan Scholarships Program for 2025 is will be open for applications from February 1 to April 30, 2025. Below are the key details of the scholarship programs:

1. MOE Taiwan Scholarship Program (Scholarships for Degree Studies)
Online Application Period : 01/02/2025- 30/04/2025

The MOE Taiwan Scholarship Program offers recipients tuition and miscellaneous expenses of NTD 40,000 (approx. RM5,800) each semester. Additionally, undergraduate recipients will receive a monthly stipend of NTD 15,000 (approx. RM2,200), while postgraduate recipients will receive NTD 20,000 (approx. RM2,900) per month.

2. MOE Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Program (Scholarships for short-term Mandarin Courses)
Online Application Period : 01/02/2025- 30/04/2025

The MOE Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) Program is offered for the Mandarin language learner to study at any university-affiliated language center in Taiwan. Recipient will receive a fixed monthly stipend of NTD 25,000 (approx. RM3,600) for either a 3 or 6-month scholarship starting from September 1st, 2024.

3. 2025 TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program
Online Application Period : 01/12/2024- 15/03/2025

The TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program is open for applications from Malaysians for English-taught Master's and Doctoral degrees at 19 universities in Taiwan, starting September 2025.
This fully funded scholarship includes return airfare, housing, tuition, insurance, textbooks, and a monthly allowance of NT$18,000 ( approx. RM2,600) for Master's programs, or NT$20,000 ( approx. RM2,900) for Ph.D. programs. There are 29 programs available, each with specific deadlines.

[ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ‘SUSPENDED’ STUDY STATUS]
Dear Postgraduate Students,
 
Kindly check your study status, if your study status is ‘Suspended’ it might be due to one of
the following reasons:
 
(i) Fail the PIE 2 twice.  You are allowed to repeat the PIE 2 in the following semester
but you will be barred from registering any other course. If you pass the PIE 2, you
will be allowed to continue your study but if you fail, your candidature shall be
terminated;
 
(ii) Fails to submit an academic certificate after the first year of study. Failure to do so
will result in termination in the following semester;
 
(iii) Does not complete and pass the Research Proposal Seminar (SPS5903/SPS6903)
after the second semester of study, failure to do so will result in termination in the
following semester;
 
(iv) Has not nominated a Supervisory Committee by the second semester of study,
failure to do so will result in termination in the following semester;
 
(v) Does not complete and pass the Research Method before the third semester of
study, failure to do so will result in termination in the following semester;
 
(vi) Fail twice the prerequisite course for programme of studies. If you pass the
prerequisite course, you will be allowed to continue your study but if you fail, your
candidature shall be terminated in the following semester;
 
Therefore, kindly take necessary action for alteration of your study status from ‘Suspended’
to ‘Continue’ (if related) and to avoid any unnecessary circumstances.

Greetings!

The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) is pleased to announce the Call for Applications for Academic Year 2025-2026 to the DAAD-SEARCA In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Programme.

The programme aims at fostering strong, internationally oriented higher education systems in Southeast Asia with the capacity to contribute to sustainable development. To this end, a maximum of 25 new scholarships will be granted for Master or Doctoral studies (see table below) for individuals who plan to pursue a career in teaching and/or research at a higher education institution in Southeast Asia.

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

1. Nationals of any SEAMEO member country (Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Malaysia, the Philippines, Timor Leste, Thailand, or Vietnam)

2. Must be a) staff member of a public university, or b) a candidate considered for teaching or research staff recruitment, or c) from the public sector

3. Must not be more than 40 (Master's Degree) or 45 (PhD) years of age at the time of application

4. Must have thorough knowledge of the English language, as evidenced by an IELTS score of 6.0 or better

5. Have completed their last university degree not more than 6 years ago at the time of application

6. Proposed thesis research should align with SEARCA's overarching theme of Accelerating Transformation Through Agricultural Innovation (ATTAIN). Please take note that for PhD candidates, the applicants will need to provide additional documents such as:

6.1) Declaration of acceptance from the academic supervisor or a commitment letter from the intended study post that a supervisor will be assigned;

6.2) Detailed and precise PhD proposal (8-10 pages), including detailed work and timetable indicated with months and dates as well as information on when the last exam will take place (if applicable, mention the planned research in Germany). Concept note will not be accepted; and

6.3) One page abstract of the proposal (please include name and title of proposal)

In addition, applicants must have notice of admission, or proof of application for admission, to graduate programs in any of the universities and corresponding major fields indicated below:
