NatSit: The PNP filed raps against several protesters for allegedly attacking cops when they clashed with police during the Bonifacio Day rally on November 30 at Mendiola St. that also left several activists injured.

Police spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said in a press briefing that one of the protesters was arrested, and police are eyeing several others seen attacking cops on video. Complaints were also filed against Kilusang Mayo Uno leader Bong Labog, who remains "at large."

Last November 30, the Bayan Muna partylist condemned the arrest of one of the rally's organizers, Nilo "Ka Nilo" Montevero, a 61-year old stroke survivor.

Fajardo explained that the protesters were charged for direct assault and for not having a permit to stage the protest.

Gabriela Women's Party Rep. Arlene Brosas told The LaSallian that there was no permit because it was not required on Bonifacio Day as a time for Filipinos to freely express their concerns as part of their rights.
