The BCD for propane was under the head "Tariff rate changes (without change in existing effective rate of duty) to be effective from 01.05.2025"
Effective BCD for propane was earlier 2.5% with a higher ceiling that could be revised up to 15% which has now revised to 2.5%.
BCD on propane import remains the same 2.5% which is the new ceiling, if this is passed then the BCD in future could not be increased above 2.5%.
So there is no impact on the end mile consumer propane price.
*This could result in a recovery in Gujarat Gas stock price as nothing has changed*
