TCU P2P started on January 20, 2024. At that time, we had no clear roadmapโwe were simply going with the flow, unsure of what to expect. The volume and number of transactions were low, and some days we didn't receive any orders. Initially, we didnโt have a KYC process in place, and there was no security for users who engaged with TCU P2P.
After 25 days, we experienced our first major issue: an account freeze of 15,000rs. This became a turning point for us, as we realized the magnitude of the problem we were facing. Without personal data from the users who deposited money into the seller's account, we couldnโt offer refunds, so we ended up covering the amount ourselves. At the time, we were completely unprepared and unsure how to proceed.
This was a wake-up call. From that moment on, we decided to implement KYC (Know Your Customer) and other necessary security measures to protect both the users and the platform. In the beginning, the average number of transactions was around 5 per day, with a volume of approximately $2,000. Despite these early struggles, we held onto our consistency and commitment, never considering quitting.
Fast forward to today, and all of our hard work is paying off. We now average over 400 transactions per day, and every transaction is securely stored in our database. KYC is mandatory for anyone using the P2P service, ensuring a safer environment for all users. We've come a long way since those uncertain early days, and weโve faced numerous challenges along the way, including harsh criticism.
