Was down 5% due to a combination of 2 losses over the course of 2 days (2.5% risk on both trade ideas) one of which actually gave me profit but forgot to manage position to go BE
Then came the 3rd trade. Same risk. Same system. Same execution and a 1:5RR bringing a 10% trade, recovering 5% Drawdown and securing me a $9,000 Payout in time for the Holidays ๐ค๐ผ

Definitely at a decision point right now 4H Imbalance but with the recent sweep to the downside into a major support during late NY - that bounce play was a clean opportunity to catch this move up
Anticipating a BOS or at least hoping for one as the narrative of a PO3 would play out nicely after sweeping lows and then breaking structure to the upside
Looks like a failed head and shoulder but donโt forget: we want h&s to occur after a long uptrend but we havenโt had one in this case so makes sense for it to continue. If we get a 15M structure shift within this FVG we could defo see bearish momentum come back
Anticipating a BOS or at least hoping for one as the narrative of a PO3 would play out nicely after sweeping lows and then breaking structure to the upside

Just an update on this move as I forgot to post about it. Price maintained 2633 at a higher low and then make a higher high
Followed by a 2642 higher low which DIDNT make a significant break of structure. The rejection and bearish momentum was the signal to close positions there but price has been playing in this consolidation for too long
The drop to the downside in my option was a sell trap and I believe weโre still bullish and can see 2650 - whether we break that I donโt know but I hope for NFP to get us out this disgusting range ๐ once 2660 is his I think we will see strong bullish momentum taking us to 2673
Followed by a 2642 higher low which DIDNT make a significant break of structure. The rejection and bearish momentum was the signal to close positions there but price has been playing in this consolidation for too long

Current thoughts on Gold
Yesterday buys played out nicely as we broke and closed above 2650
Target was 2660
You can see clearly the structure and the price action as we slowly break out of this 1H consolidation. To most this looks messy which i agree, but the last 2-3 legs is all you need to focus on and worry about. We swept Trendline liquidity tapping into a bigger Trendline and then breaking and closing above multiple structure checkpoints (2650)
With the corrective move down I would like to see an impulsive move up after tapping into discounted prices to form a bullish orderflow so we can continue bullish into 2660
Failure to break 2652 would likely mean bearish until 2637, else were bullish and should see 2655-2660

Target was 2660

Remember the trend is your friend until proven otherwise, in this case we are defo bearish on the higher time frame so catching a short term sell here could turn into a long term continuation.
So if youโre currently bullish this would be a great area to secure partial profits or make the trade risk free at the least
If youโre bearish it would make sense to have stops around 2610 but given the current momentum it would make sense to wait for more confirmation before hopping in

Held this position over the weekend. As mentioned in the free group 2589 is the area to look out for if youโre in buys
So currently market is at a decision point. Valid for sells but given the momentum of this candle it would make sense to wait for more confirmation before hopping in aggressively
On the other hand, you could argue the market has created bullish sentiment and adding on some fundamental elements, the recent market open gap could be an indication to further bullish momentum and in turn, correct the bearish pressure.
Breaking above 2603 would defiantly make me believe we are going higher

Updateโฆ same payout request with ACG, another flagging. My advice is to stay away from this firm

They apologised for giving a hard breach instead of a soft breach and since then reinstated my account (not sure if they wouldโve done this if I didnโt tweet or email about it) but overall, thatโs good on their part - however they still took away the majority of the profits (12K) for a rule thatโs not clearly mentioned in their FAQs ๐
Since then I took a trade on it today and realised my payout date is this Monday so figured to let that payout process, before putting them back in the good light as that what matters in the end. Whether or not they pay out.
Who knows they might want another interview with me in another 2 weeks time hahaha ๐คฃ

Close the buys and hop in sells ๐ค

If we can break above 2735 and close I would expect a pullback and a continuation long
The current area is a decision point which favours sellers. With both trendlines intersecting in a premium range which also aligns with an imbalance. However based on higher higher time frame I anticipate market to go back to the highs of 2744 if this high is broken

Closed at a small win/break even since price is still in the range and didnโt break previous highs or lows
My buys didnโt manage to break the highs twice so I closed and since itโs FOMC I see potential liquidity grab from the downside and a flip bullish
Or a drive bullish for a fib short then a drop down
But overall out for now. No need to risk my profits of the past 2 weeks on FOMC and risk having massive slippage or breach for trading during news
Would suggest the same for everyone else ๐ค

2 possible setups on gold. Fib long looking promising having exhausted push to the downside and forming some sort of structure
If itโs respected (since weโve rejected heavily off 2610) then I would expect price to rally towards 2630 before retracing due to higher time frame structure
1H has shown solid bearish momentum which could just break the low at 2610, which is then weโre you could see a mini pullback and continuation into the support.

If longs play out it would be a wise move to hold for a while as the H4 trend is still bullish and we could rally beyond the recent H4 high
