Because USCIS posts "Case Processing Times," the average petitioner is tricked into believing unreasonable delay is ok, and deterred from challenging that in court with a mandamus lawsuit. This is a mistake. 🙅‍♂️

Courts can be rightly skeptical of USCIS
statistics. To quote 6th Circuit, "We find it unhelpful to fixate on the average snail's pace when comparing snails against snails in a snails' race." Garcia v. United States Dep't of Homeland Sec., 25 F.4th 430, 454 (6th Cir. 2022). 🐌⚖️

Today, President Trump signed a “NATIONAL SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL MEMORANDUM” that appears to escalate pressure on the Iranian government.

In my view, this memo was probably written by Netanyahu’s people. Especially given the timing (Netanyahu met with Trump today.)

Related, the Trump White House published today a webpage called “FACT SHEET: PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP RESTORES MAXIMUM PRESSURE ON IRAN” that characterizes the memo as “restoring maximum pressure on the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, denying Iran all paths to a nuclear weapon, and countering Iran’s malign influence abroad.”
