And final between Abdusattorov and Erigaisi! 1st game, guess what… Nodirbek was worse in the opening, then he was much better in the middlegame, then lost in the middlegame, then was winning in the endgame… Uzbekistani’s and Indian’s fans were probably having Toronto-like emotional ups and downs?!😵💫 finally, it’s a draw, wow! Second and decisive game : Erigaisi-Abdusattorov, if not on C-podcast, then somewhere else, Arjun is going to regret it (as Caruana did, though comparing these two misses, one in classical and going for tie-breaks for the World Championship Match Qualification and another in Supertournament blitz tie-break is different, but certainly hurts, this way). The Rb3 and Ra1 sequence, that he would find in any other tournament game or probably even blitz game elsewhere, he missed and still had a decent position, but threw it away together with the 1st place… and Abdusattorov, what can I say? Great fighter, very polite guy off the board…(hopefully, one that says to Giri, hello, how are you? How is life? I have novelty for you tomorrow this and that…) lucky, well, probably deserves it with his way of playing and work ethics? Anyway good to see such players thrive as our game gets even more exciting! Thanks to the tournament in Sweden, we had great fun following some very rare match-ups!

Sweden : Tie-Break : Abdusattorov-Erigaisi, exchange french, popular at candidates, because caught many players unprepared, then some typical moves were played, black got slightly more pleasant position for shorter time control, then blunder after blunder and Erigaisi got into +3 endgame, completely winning, but spoiled it 1/2, Svidler-Abdusattorov, Nodirbek went for fight again, it was much worse for him throughout the game, one instructive moment is on one of the diagrams, where white could take it all on e4 then play f3 and g4 e4 having some edge in the endgame probably, Nodirberk used all of his tricks and got into drawish endgame and please please please, look at the endgame position and dont ask me to explain how he won it with black Kd5?? And Nc3 + nice, but probably Nodirbek deserves it all as he is a very big fighter, luck is there for him! 0-1. Erigaisi-Svidler, Svidler played creative in the opening, got even some edge in the middlegame, then crazy endgame complications lead to a very beautiful pawn structure and pawn race, but… Ra3?? And black loses on the spot! 1-0….
