today's my day off so I spent some more time tinkering with godot! 🤖
Figured out how to bake normals and colors into a material that looks good at low resolution, he's about 34K tris. Still haven't figured out eye transparency

process stuff for you 3D nerds!
I haven't done any weight painting, willy's rig is entirely automatic bone weights, but as you can see there's lots of deformation problems on joints even though the shapes are generally good
I've been spending most of my effort on motion capture and figuring out lip sync, but now i'm turning my attention to muscle simulation solutions. coming soon I hope!

This is right of the box PLUS I added some phoneme emphasis manually for this animation! I'm surprised how little the manual phonemes matter but they do make the lips read better
