To support those selected for interview, 4 of us from 2022 batch DCs have created a telegram group
Srikar, Rani, Ramana and I will be part of the group

I secured 195 marks in 2022 civils interview and Ramana has scored 210 in 2021 forest service Interview besides 182 in civils interview which are all good scores. We are duty bound to share our few cents with the juniors.

Entry into it is restricted to those selected for interview to avoid unnecessary disturbance to others who would be in other pursuits as well as to ensure limited audience to clarify doubts easily.

If those selected wants to join the group, pls message your mainss admit card to my telegram handle @manojn2104.

Pls share this with your selected friends to help them.

Pls do not ask doubts in the above handle. I may not be able to address them there. You can always ask them in this group

Good morning everyone
The results hit us all quicker than we imagined and they hit some harder than they imagined. A few of you had the fortune to ice your cake of hardwork while some others did not have that ice to top their cake. For many others, there would be need to work harder to build a better cake. There will definitely be a next time as a new notification is rumoured to be around. Work harder.

Understand that there are only minimal seats and heavy competition. If the same exam was written on other day and some other evaluator evaluated the papers, the results would be different. So do not take the results to heart to be deppressed if you did not clear and do not take them to your mind to get arrogant if you cleared.

Be proud of your passion and work. Accept it with grace and humility. If you cleared, be even more humble, for this is a responsibility bestowed by the universe upon you. Make the most of it by continuing your work.

Both parties must remember that this is just an exam which can at most give you challenging yet socially glorified jobs. With a view from inside, I can assure that life is lot bigger than this. There is much more happiness beyond this than within this. Stay positive and never lose hope, it is all we have got.

The mains exams are done and you got a decent break after them.
What now? Should you prepare for mains or interview or prelims? Answer is not one size fits all obviously

Most importantly, forget that you gave mains exam. Otherwise you will keep waiting for results. It is a torturous wait and sucks your energy and enthusiasm dry. Instead focus on next steps. Anyways, the results will come sooner than later as APPSC has shown decent commitment in this year's conduct of group 1.

Those also writing civils or forest mains this year, focus 100% on giving your best there. For group 1, if you are confident of interview call and are underconfident about your interview skills like speaking, opinion formation etc give some time for grp 1 interview prep when you are bored of civils mains as you get less time for interview prep after grp 1 mains results. If you are fairly good at interview, forget about group 1 for now and focus on civils and forest

Those not giving civils mains but gave grp 1 mains should continue your Mains preparation now- for appsc and/ or upsc.
APPSC has made it clear that it will release a new notification this year itself and you should be even better prepared for it next time. Except 15-20 candidates who get their desired posts, others may have to write the exam again either to get a rank or to improve their rank. This is the bitter truth of these harsh exams we are part of. Again, if you are confident of interview call, give 2-3 hrs a day (not more till mains results) for interview preparation. We wont have lot of time after mains results.

Those who are new or couldnt clear grp 1 prelims or have cleared it with small margin and are underconfident of clearing again, focus equally on both grp 1 prelims and mains. You cannot neglect prelims. At the same time you cannot leave mains prep for post prelims as the time will be less then. Shift the focus completely to prelims from September or October depending on any info about new notification. Give atleast 4 months solid 100% time for prelims if you are not good at it yet

------
We will write on what you can do to improve your prelims and mains preparation and what all need to be done for interviews in subsequent posts. Other doubts please post in comments
