IMMANUEL – WHAT A CHILD!

Isaiah 9:6 (TPT)
6 A CHILD has been BORN FOR US; a SON has been GIVEN TO US. The responsibility of complete dominion will rest on his shoulders, and his name will be: The Wonderful One! The Extraordinary Strategist! The Mighty God! The Father of Eternity! The Prince of Peace!
The world has built a massive financial economy around an event that some still know very little or nothing of its significance. The season is buzzing with people shopping, cooking and making plans to enjoy and celebrate Christmas with friends, family and sundry! For whatever reason, Christmas is indeed a time of celebration because unto us a child was born! He wasn’t born TO Joseph and Mary; rather He was born THROUGH Mary for the world! He is God’s greatest gift to the world!
The bible says in Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name IMMANUEL.” Immanuel means “God is with us.” Actually, it literally means “God became one of us.” The Passion Translation of Matthew 1:23 says, “Listen! A virgin will be pregnant, she will give birth to a Son, and he will be known as “EMMANUEL,” which means in Hebrew, “GOD BECAME ONE OF US.””
When God gave us Jesus, He gave us Himself! He identified with us in every respect! He came to dwell and live among us! What a child indeed! Though the creator of the whole world, He came to us in the humblest way! Luke 2:7 says, “And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and LAID HIM IN A MANGER, because there was NO ROOM for them in the inn.” At His birth, there was no room for Him in His own created world except a manger. This only shows that from His birth He chose to identify with our worst condition! He is truly “God with us!”
The good news however is this, He didn’t become one of us just to empathize with us, He came to our world to identify with us to the end that we will identify with Him in His world. He came to bring us into His own world and that could only be possible by paying for our sins. Matthew 1:21 says, “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS." Jesus wasn’t born to punish us for our sins, He was born to save us from our sins! He is the light of hope in the world of darkness. No wonder on the night when He was born, Luke 2:8-9 says, “… there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and THE GLORY OF THE LORD SHONE AROUND THEM, and they were greatly afraid.” Jesus is the glory of God! He is the Dayspring and the Sunrise of heaven! Luke 1:78-79 says, “Through the tender mercy of our God, with which THE DAYSPRING FROM ON HIGH HAS VISITED US; to GIVE LIGHT to those who SIT IN DARKNESS and the SHADOW OF DEATH, to GUIDE OUR FEET into the way of peace.”
He is the One that shone bright in the world of the shepherds when the angels came! Even today, He is shining bright in your world, lighting every darkness and shadow! He is your Savior and He is your Deliverer! That truly calls for joy because it is for us that He was born!
Never for once should any forget that He was born and given to us to bring us into complete dominion over the devil, sin and every work of satan. Rejoice because He is The Wonderful One! The Extraordinary Strategist! The Mighty God! The Father of Eternity and The Prince of Peace!
Merry Christmas to you!
DECLARE
Thank You Father for coming into my world so that I can be brought into Your world. You were born in a manger so that I can born into Your kingdom of dominion and power! Thank You Father for Your grace demonstrated to me in Christ Jesus. Thank You for saving me from the tyranny of the devil and giving me dominion over him. Thank You Father for Christmas!

THE SIGNATURE IS THE NAME

26 Then you will PRESENT YOUR PETITIONS OVER MY SIGNATURE! And I won't need to ask the Father to grant you these requests.
The Name of Jesus is not the closing words of a prayer; it is actually what assures us of answers when we pray. The name of Jesus is the signature or the authority upon which when we tender our petitions and requests in the place of prayer. What guarantees answers to our prayers isn’t our semantics and eloquence but the signature upon which our petitions are based. That authority is the name of Jesus.
When Paul prayed for the church in Colossae saying, “… and to ask that you may be FILLED with the KNOWLEDGE of HIS WILL in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,” (Colossians 1:9) he was actually praying for them to know what was on the Father’s heart for them as contained in the ‘will’ i.e., the New Testament. Apostle Paul wanted them to know what God’s plan and purpose for them was.
That plan and purpose is revealed in the life of Jesus who is the expression of the Father’s will. Everything Jesus was, said and did in His earth walk reflected the will of the Father for humanity. He healed the sick because the Father wants the sick healed!
The reason for His sacrifice on the cross is to make that will (desire, purpose) a legal binding document (covenant) that bequeaths to us what is rightfully ours in Him. If you are heir to a rich family, you can only enjoy your father’s properties, but those properties can only become yours after he dies and his ‘Will’ declares it is yours. It is his death (blood) that makes those things you enjoy yours based on the terms of the Will.
God doesn’t just want us to enjoy His goods, He has given us ownership of them through the death of Jesus!
Hebrews 10:7 says concerning Jesus, “Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come— In the volume of the book it is written of Me— To DO Your WILL, O God.’” The word ‘do’ actually means ‘to establish.’ Jesus came to establish The Will of the Father. This Will is the New Testament – the Covenant of Grace. The New Testament is the New Will!
“… To be filled with the knowledge of His Will…” is to be filled with the knowledge of the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
Jesus has paid the price for you to enjoy your inheritance! You don’t have to beg God for what He has given you ownership of. All you have to do is to make an order in the authority of His name the same way a check with my signature will help you withdraw money from my bank account! The signature upon which we make withdrawals from the inheritance in our ‘heavenly’ account is the name of Jesus!
By faith place a demand in that name today and it will be delivered. This is what it means to ask! 1 John 5:14 says, _*“Now this is the CONFIDENCE that we have in Him, that if we ASK anything ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, He hears us.”*_ We ask in accordance with the provision of His will upon His s. If it is in the will then you have confidence to ASK!
When we place a demand for what is ours as found in the Will on the signature of Jesus, the answer is always yes! This is the joy and privilege that we have as believers.
DECLARE
Thank You Lord Jesus for all that You have obtained for me in Your death, burial and resurrection! I refuse to be ignorant of what is mine and I boldly place a demand upon Your signature today. I take my all today in Jesus mighty name.

THE KINDNESS OF GOD

4 Do you have contempt for God, WHO IS VERY KIND TO YOU, PUTS UP WITH YOU, and deals patiently with you? Don’t you realize that is GOD’S KINDNESS THAT IS TRYING TO LEAD YOU TO HIM and CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK AND ACT?
A simple but powerful truth that will leave your life transformed is the realization that God is absolutely a good God. Religions and the traditions of men will tell you that God is sometimes good and sometimes evil but James 1:17 says, “EVERY GOOD and PERFECT gift comes from THE FATHER…”
God’s relationship with man since after the fall has been on the basis of covenant. Under the Old Testament, God ‘allowed’ the children of Israel to suffer in the hands of their enemies when they sinned (Deuteronomy 28:25) but it is different for those under the new covenant.
Under the New Covenant, God says in Hebrews 13:5-6, “…I will NEVER LEAVE you nor FORSAKE you.” So, we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” The word _‘never’_ in this verse is in the double negative meaning it is IMPOSSIBLE for God to ever leave the believer. No wonder _The Wuest - The New Testament Expanded Translation_ renders it thus: “... For He himself has said, and the statement is on record, I WILL NOT, I WILL NOT cease to sustain and uphold you. I WILL NOT, I WILL NOT, I WILL NOT let you down…”
As a child of God be rest assured that God never leaves you and He is a good God Who uses His goodness (not evil) to cause men to change and repent which is the focus of today’s text.
When something goes wrong in your life, rather than worrying and asking, _“What have I done wrong?” or “where am I missing it with God?”, take your authority in Christ Jesus and rebuke the devil!
Today’s text says, “… Don’t you realize that is GOD’S KINDNESS THAT IS TRYING TO LEAD YOU TO HIM and CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK AND ACT?”
When Jesus first met Peter, He didn’t ask Peter to change his ways before giving him a boat sinking, net tearing miracle! Jesus freely demonstrated God’s kindness to Peter by giving him a miracle and the miracle of God’s goodness brought him to a place of repentance as he said to Jesus in Luke 5:8, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.” Peter saw that in spite of him Jesus was too good to him and it broke his defenses. Peter became one of Jesus’ greatest disciples which began with God’s act of kindness!
Go out today living in the consciousness of God’s loving kindness and declare it to others because GOD IS ALWAYS A GOOD GOD!
DECLARE
I have a good Father Who loves me and has accepted me because of Jesus’ sacrifice! His constant thought, inclination and disposition towards me is always to do me good. He is ever faithful and no matter what happens He will never ever leave me nor forsake me. I boldly declare that my God is always good to me, and I freely enjoy His goodness in my life.

As a child of God be rest assured that God never leaves you and He is a good God Who uses His goodness (not evil) to cause men to change.
