Stop chasing 1:10R tradesโtheyโre keeping you broke.
Hereโs why this approach fails and what you should focus on instead.
Social media is full of traders flaunting 1:20R trades, but what they donโt show is how many losses it takes to get that one win. For most, the losses far outweigh the wins. Let me break it down.
The 2 Metrics That Matter
To evaluate a trading strategy, focus on two things:
1. Win Rate
2. Risk-to-Reward Ratio (R:R)
While itโs ideal to maximize both, theyโre negatively correlated:
โข The higher the R:R, the lower your win rate.
โข Lower R:R targets increase consistency.
The Golden Ratio
A win rate above 50% is solid. Pair this with realistic 3Rโ5R trades for consistent growth and less stress. Unrealistic 10R trades often lead to frustration and failure.
Why High R:R Doesnโt Work
High R:R doesnโt align with how markets move. The Average True Range (ATR) tells you how much price moves in a given time frame.
Hereโs how to use ATR based on your trading style:
Day Traders
Check ATR on the daily time frame. If EUR/USDโs ATR is 60โ70 pips, thatโs the max range for the day. Setting a 100-pip take profit is unrealistic unless itโs a high-volatility event.
Swing Traders
Use ATR on the weekly time frame. If itโs 300 pips, set your take profit at 50โ70% of that range (150โ200 pips).
Scalpers
For session-based trading, use ATR on H4 or H8 charts. Adjust take profits to match the sessionโs average range.

Hey, let me tell you something:
You donโt have to be glued to your charts all day to make consistent profits.
I know it sounds counterintuitive, right? You probably think the longer you watch, the more opportunities youโll find. But thatโs exactly whatโs keeping you stuck.
Hereโs the truth: Opportunities are limited because time is limited.
No matter what strategy you trade, there are only so many high-quality setups in a session or day:
- If youโre a scalper, you might get 1-2 great trades per session.
- If youโre a day trader, itโs about 1-2 solid trades per day.
- Swing traders? Maybe 1-2 good trades per week.
Thatโs just how it is.
Now, picture this: you open the charts, and the perfect setup has already played out.
What do most traders do? They keep watching. They sit there, hoping for another trade to magically appear. And thatโs the biggest mistake you can make.
Hereโs the reality: You missed it. Move on.
Close your charts and come back later:
- The next session.
- The next day.
- Or even the next weekโwhatever fits your style.
Why is this so important?
Because when you force trades that arenโt there, youโre asking for trouble. You start guessing. You chase setups. You take impulsive trades. And in the end, you lose money.
But hereโs the catchโthis only works if you have a plan.
Without a plan, youโre just winging it. And you know what they say: *If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.*
So, get clear on this:
- What setups are you looking for?
- What exact rules are you following?
- What patterns are worth trading?
When you have that clarity, trading gets so much easier. Youโll know when you missed the trade. Youโll know when to walk away.
And the best part? Youโll stop wasting hours staring at charts.
15 minutes a day. Thatโs all you need.
Plan your trades. Follow your rules. Log off. Let the market do its thing.
Simple, right?

How I Brainwashed Myself to Make $10,000 a Month Trading Forex

Probably not. And hereโs why:
Itโs because you donโt respect yourself.
This is the hard truthโmost people arenโt profitable traders because they have ZERO respect for themselves. You donโt take yourself seriously. You see yourself as weak, as someone who constantly makes excuses, and deep down, you might even hate the person in the mirror.

Why does price move?
Itโs simple: supply and demand.
More sellers? Price drops.
More buyers? Price rises.
But hereโs the thingโcharts leave clues. They show where orders are hiding. Spot these zones, and youโre already ahead.
Here are 3 liquidity pools Iโve mastered in 5 years:
1. Imbalance (FVG)
Happens during strong trends when price makes impulsive moves. These gaps often create entry points, though theyโre not always perfect. Still, theyโre valid spots to look for trades.
2. Origin Points (Order Blocks)
These are the starting points of big moves that break structure. Instead of guessing the โperfectโ candle, use Fib levels and focus on Golden Zone order blocks for higher odds.
3. Swing Highs/Lows
Major highs and lows hold stop-loss orders. Price often grabs liquidity there before reversing. Add a time element, like the previous dayโs or weekโs high/low, for precision.

To confirm trend direction, use the 200 Moving Average. If price is above, itโs bullish. Below? Bearish.

The roots of the FVG goes to the person who setup the new Cult in trading calling it ICT. Why Cult?
Because he introduced the Hero and the Villian in space. We are as a traders are fighting with Banks and Big Institutions. This created the situation of โWeโ vs โTheyโ.

What is FVG
FVG - Fair Value Gap
This term was created to mark up the fast price movements. When the first candle is not intersecting with the candle that come after the next one that is considered to be FVG aka Gap between the first and the third candle.
In the old days people used that as a sign of the power of the trend. When we had the hype of the Order Blocks, the OBโs that had IMB before them were considered to be strong.
Can you Really Trade it?
This is a Rhetoric question.
Does the Candle Stick Patterns Work?
Absolutely!
There is Big BUT there.
These are just patterns for entries. As you cant trade every candle stick pattern on its own you cant anticipate for the price to reverse from the every single FVG.
But with FVG its even harder. There is no decent clear pattern how to find the FVG that works.
How to Actually Trade?
To really Win you must have a complete systems. You cant just shoot random sh!t at the wall and hope one of them sticks.
You Must Know Where is the price going and only after that look for a pattern to enter it. Most importantly all of that should be as mechanical as possible!
To create a mechanical Strategy you have to focus not only on price, but introduce the time element into your plan.
