Well, the good news is that I will be sending version 2.0.7 during the weekend with major fixes and security improvements. The older versions will remain blocked 🚫 to avoid people using OptiKeysX Premium for free.

A hotfix on the keyboard delay(on some devices), character preview ui clipping, and landscape mode is coming tomorrow.

Everyone should update to the new version! Otherwise, I will ignore any comments which ask about bugs in version 2.0.5 or less.

As it stands, the only bug with the keyboard is the landscape mode. Everything else works as intended including the dynamic blur, more information on dynamic blur is above in the channel. (Turn off battery saver if window-level blur is enabled but not working)

Do not tell me the app is crashing, just send me the crash log that you copied to clipboard. How am I supposed to fix your issue if I cannot see it? You can send bugs to @optiflowx

Breaking: All users need to re-register with their email and password. Current premium users will have their accounts updated automatically. The previous version will be blocked by me today. Everyone must migrate to v2.0.4.

I have been thinking that I will add a free plan and premium plan. That is the best I can do, the free plan will be very basic and the premium version will have all the other features.

Also, I know that firebase authentication is giving a lot of people issues hence, I have made the app available on trial until I release the newer version in about 4 days.

For now, go back to enjoying premium features everyone.

For one last time, blur is ONLY AVAILABLE on android 12+. It is not enabled for all devices by default. If it does not exist in developer settings, then you might need to root your device. Read below for more information.

To enable blur you must go to, From Developer Options:

Settings -> System -> Developer options -> Hardware accelerated rendering -> Allow window-level blurs

Note: If you can't find the option under Settings, window blurs are not supported on your device. This is not the end, you can root the device and From the terminal on a rooted device:

adb shell wm disable-blur 1

Or use magisk to install a blurring script, e.g: https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Alt-Repo/enable-blurs

It comes to my attention that Xiaomi and Oppo Devices have issues. I will look into the problem with a private group. Can 10 to 20 chinese phone brand users respond to this message with your device brand and version. I will need to do a closed testing with y'all to fix the issue.

There is no specific email and password, create an account to login. It is that simple, and the email is only permitted to one device.

Guys, you need to enabled the keyboard manually from your settings. Like the picture below for it to work.

About the keyboard being premium, I need you to understand that I spend my time to program the app, I use my money for the internet, and programming is stressful. I consider the price very cheap (5.5 USD). It is just to thank me. Hence, it's a once off purchase.

If you can't afford it, use another keyboard. It's not a big deal. The trial will end soon, enjoy while it lasts.

There's a bug with the keyboard sound according to the reports I'm getting.

Please disable the sound feedback in settings in case you have a bug. I will fix it.

Translations are still broken, If anyone is willing to help to translate the app to other languages. Please PM me!

This is version does not include the latest features. I am saving the one with latest features for the first ever PUBLIC google play store release. In the meantime, tell me what features you want to see in the next update.

Hello everyone, I have also decided that I'll make this OPTIKEYSX open source.

That means, if you can create android apps with Jetpack Compose you will be able to contribute to the project. This will also make it fast to release new versions with better features all the time.

Also, the new update that I will be releasing tomorrow will include "Feature Requests". So, you will be able to request features inside the app. Some features will be rejected (I hope not), but most of all, I will try my best to add new features every two weeks.

AGAIN, This app will be FREE, NO ONE is allowed to monetize any link to download the app. It will be available on Google Play Store by the end of July. Cheers! 👍
