The Norwegian maritime company Bulkship Management AS has rebuffed responsibility for not allowing sailors from a distressed Russian freighter to board one of its ships. The owner of the Norwegian vessel claimed on Friday that it had simply followed instructions from the Spanish maritime authority.

Earlier, Oboronlogistics, a subsidiary of the Russian Defense Ministry, claimed that the Norwegians violated international maritime law while Russian sailors were in distress.
