Reminder for Mathematics T semester 1 (954/1) and Mathematics M semester 1 (950/1)

1) In paper 1, must answer all the questions in Section A and answer 1 question in Section B.
2) Marks are awarded for correct answer and perfect answer only.
3) Must label every questions answered.
4) Arrange your questions in sequence.
5) Do not split the working into 2 columns or 3 columns.
6) Start the new question in new page.
7) Neat handwriting.
8) Do not use liquid paper, just cancel the mistake with a line.
9) Use pen to answer the question.
10) Present the working in systematic and logical way.
11) Read the question carefully and underline the important information given.
12) Final answer must be written in the simplest form.
13) Must write the last statement as conclusion.
14) Prepare the last 15 minutes for checking the answers.

Chapter 7
Remember all indeterminate form of limits
Know how to evaluate limit (direct substitution, factorisation, rationalisation, divide by highest power of x in denominator, L' Hospital's rule)
Know how to show existence of limit
Know how to show continuity of function at a point and in the interval (never come out)

Chapter 8
Know how to differentiate using first principle (never come out)
Remember all derivatives
Know how to use all rules of differentiation
Know how to perform implicit and parametric differentiation
Know how to use first derivative test and second derivative test
Application (curve sketching, rate of change and optimisation problem)

Chapter 9
Remember all antiderivatives
Know all trigonometric identities (double angle formula, compound angle formula, pythagoras identities, sum and difference of sine and cosine and etc)

For quartiles, which term need to be stated before stating value
For stem-and-leaf plot, remember to write down the key
For histogram, cumulative frequency curve and box-and-whisker plot, remember to label axes correctly
For histogram and cumulative frequency curve, use more than half graph paper

Write formula first before substitute value
Remember how to show exhaustive events, independent events and mutually-exclusive events
