Reading ๐Ÿ“–

Most important modules:
RO FIB-R FIB-RW

MCQ are not important.

*

You need to build up your vocabulary.

RO is one of the hardest questions in PTE, but luckily there are only 2 - 3 questions of it in exam. Thus it won't affect the overall reading score much. Suffice to have 50% correctness.

Plan well your time and leave enough time for FIB.

*Fill in the Blanks tips:

Understand the context of the fill-in-the-blanks paragraph.

Try to get an average of 3/4 or 2/4 in each paragraph of the PTE Reading Fill in the Blanks Drag and Drop question type

Follow Important Grammar Rules to solve PTE Reading Blanks i.e. Articlesโ€™ rule, Modal Auxiliary Rule etc.

Eliminate the wrong options first and then guess the correct answer for each reading blank.

If you are not sure about choosing the correct answer in the Reading Blanks, then always select the most academic word out of all the options given.

Save & use the maximum time of the PTE Reading section for the PTE Fill in the Blanks: Drag and Drop Blanks and Reading & Writing Fill in the Blanks as other reading questions are not important as reading blanks.

Improve vocabulary and collocations knowledge to get a good understanding of each Reading Blanks Paragraph.

PTE Reading Fill in the Blanks Strategy
Strategy: In most Reading Drag and Drop blanks paragraphs, for each blank, there are only the two most appropriate and possible answers will be there in the options box available at the bottom. Now, you have to identify those two options for each blank using the grammar rules, vocabulary and collocations. Then, select the most appropriate and academic word for that particular blank. By this, there is a very high chance that you guess the correct answer.

Example: Author is ____ a poem.

Options: Building, Writing, Construct, Play

Identify two possible answers: Building, Writing

Grammar Rule: If there is a blank right after the helping verb (HV) is/am/are/was/were, there will either be the 'third form' or 'continuous form of the verb' (with 'ing').
Formula: HV + Third or Continuous Form of Verb
