UTME 2025 UPDATE
CANDIDATES can generate their profile codes now - JAMB


The Board also advised the candidates to get their National Identification Number (NIN), a prerequisite for UTME/DE registration.

Candidates are advised to note that the phone number used to send a request for their profile code, via a text message to either of the two quick codes, is automatically tied to their respective names and will be used by the Board in all communications relating to application, examination and admission. The candidates will receive a profile code of ten characters on the same telephone number.

To generate their profile codes, candidates are expected to send: NIN (one space) and then their NIN number (eleven digits number) by text (SMS) to either 55019 or 66019 from their personal GSM number. For example, the SMS should look like this; "NIN 12345678901" (without the quotation marks); send it to 55019 or 66019. Remember, "12345678901" should be your own NIN.

This is an adjective used in describing something that is not tight.

Note:
✅ 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 arises when Hydrogen gas bubbles produced when Zinc anode dissolves in H2S04 form layers around the carbon rod cathode:
Zn+ H2S04-->ZnS04+ H2.
✅The Manganese IV Oxide added is a depolarizer which oxidizes the Hydrogen to water: MnO2+ 2H2---> Mn2+ + 2H2O.
✅ Aside Manganese IV Oxide, Potassium dichromate can also be used as depolarizer.
✅Local action arises from using impure Zinc plate and this is countered by amalgamating it with Mercury. In the nutsell, 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 affects The cathode while local action afffects the anode. Thus, the main purpose of using the granulated carbon mixed with Mn02 is to prevent polarization,i.e. it serves as a depolarizer.
