Juventus block two midfielders from leaving the club


Nicolo Fagioli and Nicolo Rovella are two exciting young midfielders on the books of Juventus now.

The Bianconeri had them on loan at other clubs in the last campaign, and they did well.

They have been a part of their preseason so far and continue to impress the club’s coaches.

Several clubs are also eyeing them on the market as they consider adding them to their group.

Juve has lost Weston McKennie and Paul Pogba to injuries and both midfielders are expected to miss the start of this campaign.

This means there could be openings for Rovella and Fagioli to play and Max Allegri has now blocked their departure from the club, according to a report on Tuttojuve.

It says the Juve manager wants to be sure he would not need them during the campaign before he allows them to leave.

Juventus have signed striker Dusan Vlahovic from Serie A rivals Fiorentina for £58m, plus £8m in add-ons.

Vlahovic was monitored by a number of Premier League clubs and Arsenal were particularly keen on the youngster.

But he has decided to move to Turin on his 22nd birthday where he has signed a four-year deal with the Italian giants.

Vlahovic has scored 20 times in all competitions for Fiorentina this season, in addition to crucial goals in Serbia's World Cup qualifying campaign.

Vlahovic's contract in Florence deal ran until the end of the 2022-23 season, but Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso revealed in a statement last October that the forward would not be extending it, despite an offer that would have made him the highest-paid player in the club's history.

Juve have prised a number of star players away from the Viola over the years, including Roberto Baggio, Giorgio Chiellini, Federico Bernardeschi and, last summer, Federico Chiesa.

Several top clubs in Europe have been linked with signing Paulo Dybala as a free agent in the summer and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester City are considering offering the Argentinean a €10m-a-year contract.
That’s exactly how much Juventus and Dybala had reportedly agreed only a few months ago when the striker seemed on the verge of extending his expiring contract with the Old Lady.
However, Juventus will change the terms of the agreement in their next meeting with Dybala in February.
According to multiple reports, Juventus’ proposal will be much lower. Tuttosport even revealed last week that Dybala and the other five Juventus players with an expiring contract could be offered a 15% pay cut.
In this scenario, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Inter and Manchester City have reportedly set their sights on the 28-year-old.

Juventus has been linked with a move for Dusan Vlahovic for much of the last year.

The Bianconeri remains one of the most likely clubs that would eventually sign him, and some reports have made them favourites for his signature already.

The striker is one of the most coveted players in Serie A, rumours claim he already has an agreement to join Juventus.
