*Views on CSE (Prelims) 2022*
1. The overall difficulty level of the paper was higher as compared to last year.
2. Barring questions from polity, some questions from Geography and Economy most of the questions required precise knowledge.
3.A lot of questions were inspired from current happenings and questions from "core areas" were missing making it difficult for the candidates.
4. Standard elimination technique would not work in many questions since the options were framed in such a manner.
5. I expect the cutoffs to see a further dive this year. Even the CSAT paper was unusually difficult which would further contribute to dipping cut offs.

Some unsolicited advice:
Any candidate securing more than 80-85 marks should start preparing for the mains examination. There is no point of wasting time by over analyzing the paper now. The real battle is the mains examination, focus on that.
A lot of people say a lot of things and claim inflated marks after prelims examination every year, focus on your own preparation.

*Some important themes for internal security for tomorrow's GS 3 paper*

1. Global terrorism and threats arising from it to nation states.
2. Money laundering and it's linkage with crypto currencies
3. Role of Afganistan in creating challenges to India's internal security. Especially the narco-terrorism angle. Focus on organized crime and terrorism linkages.
4. Cyber security with a special focus on cyber terrorism and cyber warfare. India's preparedness to deal with the same.
5. Woes of CAPF in India. Problems associated with functioning of intelligence agencies.

Congratulations to all those who have found a place in the merit list. For those who couldn't, success is not final and failure is not fatal. Try to identify your mistakes and work on them to come back stronger in your future attempts. For those who have exhausted their attempts, this is not the end for getting into civil services couldn't have been your life goal anyway. Work hard towards your goals and objectives and you will reach there irrespective of civil services or not.
For those who have been selected, be cautious and up your guard for this is just a stepping stone and you have miles to go before you sleep. Your goal should not be and cannot be just getting into the civil services. You have a long road ahead and I hope all of you do good work while in civil services.
If anyone wants a patient ear you can always reach out to me.
All the best.

Try to work around the basics of these topics including definitions, Constitution articles, SC judgements and basic arguments on either side.
You must have covered a number of these topics already via test series or current affairs magazines at different places so don't read from new sources but just consolidate your content.
