Had a really long discussion with my private group on Thursday.
I talked about how I delegate my time when it comes to trading.
Over the years I’ve grown to spend less and less time on actual analysis.
The reason?
I save my mental capital for the heavy lifting…. the trade and risk management AFTER the trade is executed.
New traders put 80-90% of their energy into analyzing the charts.
Then have nothing left in the tank to actually MANAGE the trade.
Your strategy and analysis doesn’t bring in money… how you execute a plan DOES.
Start putting focus on the things that really impact your bottom line.
You might be surprised at the results.

As we approach the end of the year it's starting to become time to reflect on what you've done to improve your trading this year.
Don't be like me from earlier in my career.
Always making a New Years Resolution to stick to my trading rules, risk management, thinking long-term.. and then NEVER following through.
I see SO MANY traders say they are going to do one thing and then do the complete opposite.
For example, saying they are going to hold a trade until x price, but then close it a few hours later when it hasn't done anything to warrant that action.
Or saying they are going to only take x trades per day, only to see them taking 2-3x that amount the following day.
When you reflect on what you've done this year,
Have you stuck to what you said you were going to do?
Your answer is trading in a nutshell...

How many times have you been up ⬆️ massively on the week only to give it all back by the end of the week?
Or up ⬆️ on the month and given it all back the last week of the month?
It’s a bit of a dance.
Is it possible to miss opportunities? Yes.
Is it just as possible that you will avoid taking losses? Yes.
Your experience and instincts will help you decide.
Personally, I prefer taking longer breaks from the markets.
It allows me to recharge and not get burnt out from staring at price all the time.
