Currently it has reached the lower band of the historic range, indicating that Nifty offers relatively better risk to reward as compared to Smallcaps!
Nothing can beat picking individual undervalued stocks, but on a broader spectrum, investors should be cautious in the smallcap space!

For people who are confused, let's take an example.
Case 1: Your income is 12 lac, you will pay no tax as you will get rebate.
Case 2: Suppose your income is 15 lac. Here slabs will be applied.
0-4 lac: No tax
4-8 lac: 5% tax = Rs.20000
8-12 lac: 10% tax = Rs. 40000
12-16 lac: 15% tax = Rs. 45000 (15% on 3 lac only since your income is 15 lac)
So total tax payable is: Rs. 105000 on an income of 15 lac.
If your income is exactly 12 lac or below, then no tax.
Case 1: Your income is 12 lac, you will pay no tax as you will get rebate.
Case 2: Suppose your income is 15 lac. Here slabs will be applied.
0-4 lac: No tax
4-8 lac: 5% tax = Rs.20000
8-12 lac: 10% tax = Rs. 40000
12-16 lac: 15% tax = Rs. 45000 (15% on 3 lac only since your income is 15 lac)
So total tax payable is: Rs. 105000 on an income of 15 lac.
If your income is exactly 12 lac or below, then no tax.

Since the results came as expectations, there came no reaction in the markets - which shows the forward discounting ability of the markets. (As markets already corrected heavily in past few days)
