➡️ The ReviVR simulator, developed at the SamSMU, has been awarded the prestigious "Made in Russia" certificate of conformity.

❤️ ReviVR is designed for rehabilitation following strokes, neurosurgical operations, central nervous system (CNS) injuries, brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and other neurodegenerative conditions. By utilizing virtual reality for deep immersion, combined with foot stimulation and a virtual assistant, the device accelerates the restoration of mirror neurons, activates brain neuroplasticity, and triggers the pacing reflex in patients, promoting faster recovery.

The "Made in Russia" program promotes reputable Russian brands and products, affirming the credibility of domestic manufacturers as reliable suppliers of high-quality goods. Previously, this certificate was also awarded to SamSMU's Autoplan surgical navigation system and the ReviMotion rehabilitation simulator.

🍔🍬 An endocrinologist from SamSMU's Clinics shares common nutritional mistakes

Svetlana Mantsagova, an endocrinologist at the SamSMU's Clinics and chief freelance endocrinologist at the Samara Region Ministry of Health, discusses people's frequent nutrition mistakes.

1️⃣ Frequent consumption of sweets. Excessive sugar intake can lead to obesity and other chronic non-communicable diseases. Foods like sweet yogurts, sugary sodas, fruit juices, fast food, and processed snacks often contain hidden sugars. It's best to minimize or avoid them altogether.

2️⃣ Overconsumption of red meat. While red meat is a rich source of essential amino acids, vitamins (such as B12), and minerals (iron, zinc), frequent intake—especially of processed meats—can increase the risk of developing serious chronic diseases.

3️⃣ Inadequate fluid intake. Adults should consume 1.5-3 liters of fluid daily. This includes not only water but also beverages, liquid-based foods, and the water content found in fruits and vegetables.

4️⃣ Lack of fruits and vegetables in the diet. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends at least 400 grams of daily fruits and vegetables. This helps to reduce the risk of chronic non-communicable diseases.

5️⃣ Frequent consumption of junk food. Burgers, fries, and many other ready-to-eat foods are typically high in salt, sugar, and calories but lack essential vitamins, fiber, and nutrients. These should be consumed sparingly.

6️⃣ Irregular eating habits. Skipping meals or not eating on time often leads to overeating during the next meal, which overloads the digestive system and can harm organs like the stomach, liver, and gall bladder.
