🚨 Announcement: Warning About Fintokei

Lads, I want to warn everyone about Fintokei and their unethical practices.

As seen in the screenshot below, Fintokei has been restricting accounts and denying traders access to further evaluation programs. They are using vague claims such as “inability to utilize trading data effectively” as an excuse to prevent traders from continuing with their challenges or receiving payouts. This applies even to traders who have successfully passed their evaluations!

Additionally, they’ve imposed unreasonable restrictions that make it nearly impossible to trade effectively:
• Profit Cap: They’ve introduced a daily profit cap of just 1% of the account balance, which severely limits your ability to grow the account. For example, on a $100,000 account, the maximum profit you can make in a day is $1,000, regardless of how much the market moves in your favor.
• Loss Cap: Similarly, the daily loss cap is also set at 1% of the account balance, leaving no room for natural fluctuations in trading.
• Leverage Restrictions: They’ve reduced leverage to 1:10 for forex and 1:5 for other instruments, making it nearly impossible to execute effective trading strategies.

These changes are applied retroactively and were not part of the original agreement when traders paid their fees.

🔴 If you’re considering signing up with Fintokei, I strongly advise against it.
This is just another example of a prop firm looking to profit from evaluation fees while finding excuses to avoid payouts or limit traders’ success.

It’s important to understand that my weekly bias breakdown isn’t always right—there have been plenty of times where I’ve been completely off. But guess what? I’ve still had profitable weeks.

That’s the beauty of being a scalper. I don’t need to stress over macro disruptions or try to predict every big market move. My focus is on precision and timing within the smaller moves that happen every day.

Most of my trades are retracements, and even with that approach, I stay consistently profitable. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about being adaptable and taking high-probability setups within the flow of the market.

1. Risking Less, Gaining More 💹

At 1:2, you’re risking just one unit to make two. That means even if you only win half your trades, you’re still profitable. The beauty of this ratio is that it gives you a healthy buffer for errors while still allowing you to grow your account steadily. It’s not too little to make the effort feel unrewarding, and it’s not so big that you’re constantly chasing unrealistic moves.

2. Achievable in Most Market Conditions ✅

A lot of traders aim for 1:3 or higher, but the reality is, those setups don’t always align with how the market moves. Markets are often choppy or range-bound, making big RR targets less likely to hit. With 1:2, you’re not asking for miracles—you’re taking what the market is likely to give while still walking away with solid profits.

3. The Math Is on Your Side 🧮

Here’s why 1:2 makes sense mathematically:
• If you win 50% of your trades with 1:2 RR:
• Out of 10 trades: 5 wins × 2R = +10R, 5 losses × 1R = -5R.
• Net: +5R.
• Even if your win rate dips to 40%, you’re still close to breakeven. That margin of safety makes 1:2 a smart choice for sustainable trading.

4. Keeps You in the Game 🎯

With 1:2, you’re not relying on a crazy high win rate to stay profitable. That’s huge because even the best traders don’t win every trade. By keeping the reward realistic and doubling your risk, you’re stacking the odds in your favor while avoiding the psychological toll of needing a perfect win streak.

5. Fast and Clean Targets 🚀

Holding for big RR trades (1:5 or more) sounds great in theory, but in practice, it’s stressful and often unrealistic. You end up staring at the screen, watching price hover near your target before reversing. With 1:2, you’re in and out faster. No overthinking, no second-guessing—just clean execution.

6. Low-Risk, High-Reward Balance ⚖️

1:2 RR gives you enough breathing room to handle drawdowns without blowing your account. It’s a practical ratio that balances risk and reward while keeping you disciplined. You’re not cutting your profits too short (like 1:1), but you’re also not reaching for the stars and missing.

Why I Don’t Go Higher 🚫

While higher RR ratios like 1:3 or 1:5 can look attractive, here’s why I avoid them:
• Lower Probability: The higher the target, the less likely the trade will hit.
• Emotional Stress: The more stop-outs you face waiting for high RR trades, the harder it is to stay disciplined.
• Missed Opportunities: Instead of waiting for that one big trade, I can hit multiple 1:2 setups and lock in consistent profits.

Final Thoughts 💭

For me, 1:2 RR is the perfect balance between realistic targets and solid profitability. It’s achievable in most market conditions, forgiving enough to handle losses, and fast enough to keep my trading stress-free. It’s not just about maximizing profits—it’s about staying consistent, disciplined, and focused on what works. That’s why I believe 1:2 RR is the best ratio to aim for.
