Dear Rovers,
Thank you for your continued support. This is the “Wuthering Waves” project team.
Since the release of version 1.1 for beta testing, the project team has faced numerous incidents of content leaks. These leaks spread rapidly from multiple sources and involve substantial amounts of content, including cutscene CGs, storyboard drafts, character concept art, and discarded scenes. We have received feedback from many rovers expressing their concerns, as the various platform algorithms and push mechanisms forcefully expose them to leaked content even if they had not actively sought it out. Such unorganized and partially true leaks, delivered in unofficial formats, not only diminish the surprise and freshness when the official version is released but also lead to severe spoilers, disrupting the progressive and orderly experience intended for rovers.
Kuro Games previously issued a statement addressing these leaks, which received support and response from many rovers. Most users involved in leaking or spreading the content have since become aware and ceased their infringing activities. However, with the opening of the version 1.4 beta test, we are once again facing severe content leaks.
Releasing a new version involves a rigorous process of development, testing, and deployment. Taking character production as an example, we usually conduct preliminary research, internal design, development, testing, and optimization several versions in advance. This is followed by a “confidential test” one version before the official launch to ensure that the character meets rovers’ expectations upon release. Only after all these steps are complete do we start the official pre-release promotions, introducing the meticulously crafted character to everyone. We believe that a standardized development and promotion process ensures the stable delivery of high-quality content, providing a reasonable experience and feedback for both players and content creators. Unfortunately, premature leaks expose new version content in an unorganized manner, stripping rovers of the sense of freshness and dealing a blow to front-line content creators.
In light of these adverse impacts, we have recently intensified our internal and external efforts to prevent leaks. This includes but is not limited to strengthening the confidentiality of the test server, holding accountable those responsible for leaks, issuing infringement warnings to users, and requesting the removal of infringing content from platforms. For some platform users whose behavior has been particularly severe, we have taken legal action, and cases are currently in the filing process. We will take all necessary measures to prevent leaks and malicious content dissemination, resorting to legal action when required.
Currently, the testing and promotional preparations for version 1.4 are in full swing. The development team is fully committed to creating subsequent versions and a brand-new area. This is the first new area designed based on feedback collected from rovers after the public release of “Wuthering Waves.” It is a collaborative effort between the project team and the rovers, making it a truly joint endeavor. We call upon all rovers to cherish the gaming experience, respect the creative work, and join us in rejecting content leaks and resisting illegal dissemination! We will continue to gather information related to the theft, leakage, and spread of our unpublished game content. We welcome reports and information related to such matters to be sent to our dedicated email:

Once again, we extend our most sincere thanks to all rovers.
