📊 Trump's policies, Q3 earnings may determine FIIs' return to Indian markets, say experts 📊

📮   The stock markets in India have been seeing a downturn over nearly past two months, weighed down by subdued Q2 earnings, a rising dollar index, and persistent foreign institutional investor (FII) selling. Several segments have seen sharp declines since the peak on September 27.

📮   Meanwhile, FII and domestic institutional investor (DII) data on November 18 indicated a slowdown in selling by FIIs, coupled with consistent buying by DIIs, which temporarily boosted investor sentiment.

📮   FIIs net sold equities worth Rs 1,403 crore on Monday, a marked slowdown from the average daily selling of Rs 3,800 crore since the beginning of October. However, the relief was short-lived as FII selling spiked again on Tuesday, reaching Rs 3,411.73 crore.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday advocated for more affordable bank interest rates.

"Cost of borrowing is really very stressful... At a time when we want industries to ramp up and move building capacities, bank interest rates will have to be far more affordable," Sitharaman said at SBI Banking and Economics Conclave. RBI has kept its interest rate unchanged at 6.5%.

SEBI ke naye SME IPO aur disclosure norms par consultation paper:

1. SEBI ne SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) ke listing framework ko review karne ke liye consultation paper release kiya hai. Ek proposal kehte hai ki minimum application size Rs 2 lakh kar diya jaye per application.

2. Ek aur suggestion ye hai ki non-institutional investors (NII) ke liye allotment method ko badla jaye. Ab proportionate allotment ki jagah "draw of lots" (jaise retail category mein hota hai) introduce karne ka plan hai.

3. Consultation paper mein ye bhi propose kiya gaya hai ki SME public issue mein 'Offer For Sale' portion ko total issue size ke 20% tak limit kiya jaye.

4. Abhi tak, SME issues successful tabhi hote hain jab minimum 50 allottees ho. SEBI propose kar raha hai ki is requirement ko badhakar 200 allottees tak kiya jaye.

Ye changes SME IPO process aur investor interest ke liye impactful ho sakte hain!
