How to get a solution to any questions in life? ๐Ÿง๐Ÿค”

I learned one principle which has helped me not only in dealing with my problems and solving them, but even helping students who ask their studies, and life related doubts.

This helps me in interviews.

Lastly, this principle helps me in solving doubts of students in my CLAT course as well, especially in the critical reasoning section.

So the technique is - "thinking in first principle".

Let me explain what it means. ๐Ÿค—

Let's say a vacuum cleaner manufacturer asks you - "How can I increase my profit"?

Generally people answer like this -

- hire influencers
- launch more products
- increase marketing budget, etc

These answers are good, but they don't have a fundamental basis. They are superficial. They'll not help you become a strong and convincing thinker and speaker.

Instead what I suggest - 'focus on going to the very basics of the question'.

For example, if someone asks you 'how to increase the profits', ask yourself,

"What actually is the definition and meaning of profit"

It's Revenue - (minus) Cost price. Right?

Now on the basis of this info, start your answer by saying -

"Hi Mr. Manufacturer -

- you will have to either increase the revenue or decrease the cost price or do both.

- Now for increasing the revenue, launch new products

- for decreasing the costs, search for alternative suppliers of raw materials so your manufacturing costs could be decreased

And so on....

Right?

You can take this logical chain of reasoning and create a link of reasoning step by step and give many different suggestions โ˜บ๏ธ

So to conclude - practise thinking in "First Principles" and overtime in 1-2 years, this method of thinking will become your default, making you a good lawyer, a good speaker, and a rich person!

Because if you have good critical thinking skills, you will definitely be rich in whatever profession you enter into ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

๐Ÿ˜ƒ

P.S. - I will teach such things in the Critical Reasoning module of my CLAT 2026 course.

We will start from January and I promise, your reasoning skills will skyrocket by the time you attempt CLAT 2026.

I'm sure no coaching institutes do this kind of exercises!

What are the things you should do in the last month? ๐Ÿค”

Let's talk about some practical things -

1. Eat good

- so you do not fall sick

- so you actually feel good, as what goes in your tummy determines your mood

2. Don't overeat

- eat only 70-75% of your capacity so you don't feel lazy. The more you eat, the less you'll feel like studying

3. Follow the 80/20 rule -

- In each subject focus on the 20% things that'll give you the 80% results

- I have uploaded a list of top 20% things to do in each subject on my website - WhySoLegal.com

There are many other things.

We had a session yesterday titled 'Last 1 month - Habits and Mindset to work on'.

I'm sharing the PPT of the session for your reference โ˜บ๏ธ

The one purchase which has had a 1000x return on investment (ROI) in my life is this Bed Table.

I bought this one in 2020 while I was preparing for UPSC (story for another day ๐Ÿ˜)

What's the reason it has been helpful? -

1. I keep it near my bed and keep books on it with markers, highlighters and rough notebook.

Whenever I'm bored, I just pick it up and start studying.

Compare this with a situation where your study table is 10 meteres away from you. You will not even study many times if your study table is thaaaat far!

Let's say you have kept a monthly GK compilation on this bed table, now you can just casually take the printout and start studying it just after waking up, before sleeping, while resting etc.

2. While now I'm not preparing for CLAT, but now I keep my novels and laptop on this table. This has helped tremendously in increasing my reading time and also helped in editing videos from the bed

3. It's good for entertainment too. I can watch TV series, movies on Netflix very comfortably!

I have bought 3 such tables, since 2020

1 for home, 1 for my office (I keep it above my desk and use it as standing desk) and 1 for my flat where I currently live.

I have even made my cousins buy such a table. ๐Ÿ˜„

Please let me know if it was helpful. I'll share more of such purchases which can help you in future ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—

P.S. - In my CLAT course, there is a module named as "Habit building module", this post is an example of things I have already shared in the habit building module.

This module is designed in such a way which helps students in -

1. Changing their home environment for studying more, without extra efforts.

2. Adopting habits that give 1000% returns in the long run (especially for cracking CLAT)

Whenever a student enrolls, they have to compulsorily watch these videos for accessing the further videos.

Let's say you make a goal to hit the gym everyday.

2 hours/6 times a week

But on the 4th day, you can't go because of some reasons.

You feel sad, like a loser and as you couldn't achieve 100% compliance, you quit going altogether.

This is what you, me, everyone reading this message has done, multiple times in their lives.

But please understand, humans are not perfect. Nothing is perfect in this world.

You have to accept the imperfections and continue.

Instead of quitting gym, why not go again the 5th day?

Then if you can't go on the 9th day, no issues, just do some pushups at home, just so you don't break the habit of 'exercising daily'.

Remember, in context of exams and self improvement - "the winner is the person who visits the arena everyday".

So let me give you a challenge -

Just give 15 mins a day to your goal every single day, without fail. If you still don't reach where you wanted to be in 1 year, text me then, we'll talk. ๐Ÿ˜Š

2 things in life that can make you among the top 0.1% and even better.

1st -
Taking Contrarian Bets

This means you need to be present in the moment and opt for those things, that normally people would NOT go for.

Understand that 95% people don't have any critical thinking abilities, so they go with the safe option - following the crowd.

If you consciously take decisions that other people are avoiding (after deep analysis), you will get the results most people would NOT get.

2nd -
Doing things that give assymetrical returns

Most of our lives go doing low value tasks. Things that would give output/results which are equal to the efforts they took

For example, performing good at job - you'll just get a slight 5% hike next year. Your company won't make you the next CEO because you worked hard

You must identify things that can give you asymmetrical returns.

For example - My short video on "Day as a corporate lawyer" took 5 days to make, but gave asymmetrical returns in the form of 30,000 followers and lots of free PR.

Another example could be finding good undervalued stocks, buying them and waiting for them to rise, giving you asymmetrical returns in the future.

Finding such opportunities is tough, but once you start actively searching for them, you'll develop an intuition, and then it will happen automatically.

So, yes, keep these 2 things in mind, to be among the top 0.1% of the population.

Two is twice as good as one, but one is infinitely better than zero.

- One minute of question solving is infinitely better than zero minutes.

- One minute of meditation is infinitely better than zero minutes.

- One minute of writing is infinitely better than zero minutes.

Sure, it might be ideal to spend an hour doing these things, but one minute gets you in the game.

Now you're learning. Now you're improving. Now results are possible.

One doesn't seem like much, but it's something real. At zero, you're still dreaming. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘

If you're preparing for CLAT or working hard in anything and getting tired, remember that things in life are beautiful because theyโ€™re balanced by the ugly.

We cherish the happy moments because we have sad ones.

We love meeting new people because we grow so tired of the same old.

We love the rewards because you know how hard you worked to get there.

Create this scarcity deliberately,

to remind yourself of the pleasure again.

Done in reverse:

You party hard for days and days- and I BET that you will miss the monk mode days.

You donโ€™t train your body for a week and youโ€™ll want to go back in training asap.

You can use this to improve your work too.

--

This exam that you're preparing for, if you work hard enough, you'll fill a vessel of self confidence for your whole life.

You'll get enough self confidence and in any difficult endeavour, this thing would stay in your mind "I've worked hard for that exam, i can work hard for this thing also" ๐Ÿ˜Š

To the students who are focusing on boards instead of CLAT or any other competitive exams - what's your reason behind it?

Now even DU do not take students basis 12th score.

So what's motivating you?

I'm asking because I'm making a video titled '12th Percentage and effect on law school/career'

I will be waiting for your comments ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐ŸŽ‰

Update -

This week I did something I wanted to do for a long time, taking an 'offline session'.

I was invited to RNT Law College, Chittorgarh, where I addressed the new 3 year LLB batch of this college.

The session was titled - 'How to spend next 3 years in College and Career in Law'.

I made a PPT and included all the information necessary, which will help students in future.

Besides me, there were two other guests, one was a Judge and another was an RAS Officer.

The hard work is paying off, and I am sure, if you work hard, you'll slowly see your dreams coming true as well ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅน

Apologies as it took me 10 days to finally complete it.

When you start out, focus on just coming to your desk everyday, even if it's for 5-10 mins only.

It will take 7-10 days for getting used to the 'habit'

But as you become comfortable coming everyday, and ab 'study karne ke liye bethna' has become easy for you, now it's time to increase the 'intensity'

So go and study 1-2 hours at a stretch, solve those difficult Math/Legal questions all in a row and much more.

To summarise -

In the beginning, you need consistency, later, you need intensity (but not at the cost of consistency) ๐Ÿ˜Š

--

I discuss more such 'habit related aspects in the habit building module of CLAT 2025 course.

- Every week my team is taking 2 live sessions on all subjects. My team comprises of CLAT toppers.

There are about 6 months remaining until CLAT 2025. ๐Ÿ•

Many of my batchmates at GNLU cracked the exam in 6 months or even less, even while managing their boards.

Keep in mind, our boards were in April & CLAT, in May!

This is why, I took a live session on '6 Monts CLAT prep strategy' in my CLAT 2025 course.

This fast paced session helped 2 kinds of students -

1. Those who are starting their prep now

2. Those who've already started few months back!

The video is FREE to watch. Just go to the 'Strategy section' of the course where I upload all the strategy related videos.
