📊 What's the Market Sentiment Right Now?

Right now, many people are feeling just as bad as they did during the 2022-2023 bear market.

I think a lot of traders are getting the feeling that the bull run might be coming to an end soon. Most altcoins saw a rise after Trump's victory, followed by pullbacks that everyone considered normal.

By early 2025, seasonality was supposed to fix everything. During this time, retail traders were rotating from one meta-meme to another. It was pure PVP, but of course, there was money to be made.

Then $TRUMP launched and drained all liquidity from the blockchain. That was also expected—people were supposed to rotate their profits from $TRUMP into altcoins, which were already dipping.

Then $MELANIA launched, and that’s when everything turned into hell. Altcoins got wrecked across the board. This wasn’t the usual 50% pullback—it was a full-blown -90% on many popular picks. Volume also looks grim.

We went from an alt-season to complete collapse in a snap—like a Thanos snap. And this all happened *before* BTC even dropped. The timeline and charts? Absolute misery.

Even though I don’t think we’ve reached the peak yet, this has been the toughest cycle many have experienced in the past 8 years.

My take? We’ll have plenty of time to be sad later. Sometimes, you just need to give yourself a break—your spacesuit isn’t made of rubber. Take a mental, physical, and emotional breather. Listen to some good music, enjoy nature, and just chill.

- Solana – The most popular bitch in class. She can easily crush your self-esteem, but you still hope to smash at prom.

- Arbitrum – "He just needs to push a little harder; the kid's actually smart."
- Starknet – Graduated with honors and left the country immediately after prom.
- Monero – A quiet senior who supplies the neighborhood.
- GALA – A decent guy, but everyone still remembers when he got dunked headfirst into a toilet a couple of times.

ETH - NEXT BIG THING

The asset has absorbed all the FUD, all the issues with Vitalik and the Foundation. It’s all priced in.

After the launch of the TRUMP coin, a huge wave of relatively weak players capitulated into Solana and other projects.

Those who didn’t capitulate at the TRUMP launch gave in during the flash crash.

The coin has truly cleansed itself—this was a tectonic shift. MANY OGs HAVE GIVEN UP AND EXITED!!!

Eric Trump is openly shilling the coin and can’t contain his enthusiasm (clearly confident in its success).

BlackRock is utilizing the Ethereum ecosystem to deploy its infrastructure.

The ETH ETF will likely include staking.

It’s still the most expensive crypto asset after Bitcoin.

To sum it up: ETH is in an extremely bullish position. The idea is now as obvious as BTC was back in the day (meaning, not obvious to retail and those bitter at Vitalik). BTC was cleansed and pumped. Now it’s ETH’s turn.

IT’S TIME.

PS: This is, of course, an idea for BTC holders and whales—everyone else will probably just watch ETH rise the same way they watched BTC (because it was always “too expensive”).

First and foremost, the crypto market is an ideal speculative environment, open 24/7, and it was the first to fully feel the impact of an impending trade conflict sparked by Trump’s actions.

When BTC was above $106K on Friday night, Trump announced the introduction of import tariffs on goods from Mexico, Canada, and China.

Trump’s “art of the deal” approach involves massive pressure followed by gradual retreat to achieve the desired result.

However, his opponents—Canada and some of his closest allies—decided to push back, responding with a 25% tariff on $155 billion worth of American goods.

Hegemony had to end at some point, and now the U.S. is effectively choosing to end it on its own terms. This is a post-American world order—ushered in by America itself.

Even tariffs on allies make sense when viewed from this perspective because they redefine the concept of ‘allies’: The U.S. no longer wants—or perhaps can no longer afford—vassals, but instead seeks relationships based on evolving interests.

You can see this as a decline—because it certainly looks like the end of the American empire—or as an attempt to avoid further decline: a controlled withdrawal from imperial obligations to focus resources on core national interests rather than being forced into an even more chaotic retreat in the future.

Either way, this marks the end of an era. While the Trump administration appears chaotic to many observers, they are likely far more attuned to the shifting global realities and the true position of their country than their predecessors. Acknowledging the existence of a multipolar world and choosing to act within it rather than trying to maintain an increasingly costly global hegemony could not have been delayed much longer. It looks messy, but it’s probably better than maintaining the illusion of American supremacy until it collapses under its own weight.

That doesn’t mean the U.S. will stop sowing chaos globally. This is the end of the American empire, but certainly not the end of the U.S. as a major disruptive force in world affairs.

Ultimately, this transformation may be one of the most significant shifts in international relations since the fall of the Soviet Union. And those least prepared for it, as is now painfully obvious, are America’s vassals—completely bewildered by the realization that the patron they relied on for decades now treats them as just another group of countries to negotiate with.”

Bitcoin is breaking historical ATH. Coinbase has jumped from 154th to 15th place in the App Store in just two days. Every day brings new headlines. Euphoria mixes with fear and FOMO.

This cocktail is being poured into the crypto crowd right now.

I don’t know how many of my readers are newcomers and how many have been through several cycles.

But simple truths bear repeating endlessly.

We’ve survived two years of a bear market. The crashes of Luna, FTX, depegs, lawsuits, disappointments, the death of alts after a brief glimmer of hope for a bull market a year ago.

It’s hard to believe, of course. But is it really over?

Don’t worry—there’s still plenty of time to panic sell and go broke five times over, regardless of Bitcoin’s price.

Even if you’ve been through past cycles, memory tends to lie.

It’s easy to convince yourself that a bull run is a time of endless money and easy success, but it’s not. It’s a time of luck and very hard work. Still, the fact remains.

The coming year could be the most important one for everyone in this industry. Especially for those who’ve joined recently.

VCs, retail, founders, investors—they’ll all eventually start pouring more resources into the industry. And you need to take advantage of this opportunity.

But for now, we’re in purgatory.

And as you know, there are only two ways out of here.

If you want to take the path that leads upward, you need to work on yourself. (Just like in the original story.)

Сapital Rotation
While Bitcoin is surging, alts and meme coins remain stagnant.

TOTAL1 (the total market cap) is at ATH.
TOTAL3 (market cap excluding BTC and ETH) still has a long way to go before reaching ATH.

The most conventional wisdom about bull markets that I know is that they operate on the principle of communicating vessels—or capital rotation.

While the Bitcoin rally is on, it drains liquidity from other parts of the market.

People who missed out on the rally start looking for ways to make a bet.

Bitcoin already seems expensive and insufficiently rewarding (which is fair). Meanwhile, other market participants stop selling their alts for Bitcoin.

Retail and new liquidity flow into alts and memes. Other sectors start to rally.

Something similar happened in early 2024. Bitcoin surged non-stop for two months following the ETF approval in January. Alts didn’t start rising until late February—about a month later.

Will it be the same this time?

…

But the pattern is clear.

So if there’s a time to enter, it’s now. While we’re still in purgatory.

Will there be more drops? Probably. Good luck catching them. It’s usually a bad strategy.

Beating FOMO
Feeling motivated to buy after the first part? What’s driving you—my argument, FOMO, fear of missing out on the bull run?

Reflect on it.

The ability to recognize your impulses, your FOMO, and make a balanced decision is essentially the only skill you need to get rich in the coming year.

When you give in to emotions, you start making poor decisions. It happens to the best of us.

The end will come very suddenly and quickly. By the time everything crashes (and it ALWAYS happens faster than you think), you’ll already have a pile of (seemingly convincing) arguments about your assets and the market’s prospects.

Euphoria or fear—they both cloud your vision.

You start telling yourself: just a couple more weeks, another 20%, and I’ll cash out. Then you move your original goals further and further.

But the chairs will run out early. And most people won’t get a seat.

The only thing left to sit on will be bags of devalued shitcoins, NFTs, or whatever else is trendy now. (Yes, I mean memes and AI agents.)

This applies equally to newcomers and those who’ve been through several cycles. Most people can (and will) make this mistake.

My solution? A system and education.

Risk management, research, studying articles, projects, sources, threads, podcasts, my channel.

The number of PNL screenshots creates a false impression of how wealth is made in this market. Wealth isn’t built from a single lucky trade.

It’s built from a system.

Being wealthy >> being rich.

Wealth is about resources, assets, knowledge, experience.
Rich is about the number of zeros in your Solana wallet.

The first is for life; the second is for a month.

The meme cycle will peak in March 2025, followed by a correction or sideways price action for two months, lasting until May-June. From there, we'll see quality projects and utility coins entering their own super cycle.

Some tech coins might still move alongside BTC, but the real super cycle begins after May 2025.

What many people don't realize is that if we experience an altseason here, with BTC dominance peaking, it would signal that the top of the entire market is near.
