BENIN CITY, EDO: Reports indicate that Aye, Maphite, and Eiye cult groups have signed another peace accord, allegedly initiated by a senior police official in the state.
Regrettably, we have to say, “E NO GO WORK”. Past peace accords have failed, and while Naija Confra had high hopes for the last peace agreement, the reality in Edo State is that cultists will only respond to force. Only decisive force and strength will resolve these issues.
We continue to pray for peace and hope these groups find reason. However, we no longer have faith in peace accords alone. Until firm action is taken and violent cultists are eliminated, these clashes will likely persist. God bless Edo State.
