🗣️ On Wednesday, Hussein Fayyad, commander of Hamas’s Beit Hanoun Battalion, addressed reporters in Beit Hanoun: “If the strong doesn't win, he is defeated. But if the weak is not defeated, he is victorious.”

🤥 Israel claimed it killed Fayyad on 23 May 2024 but his public appearance forced it to admit it was wrong, blaming inaccurate intel.

🫢 This isn’t a one-off. The IOF also said it killed Mahmoud Hamdan, commander of Tel el-Sultan Battalion, in Rafah in September, when he had in fact survived.

This shows a failure in Israeli intel, revealing inability to gather accurate info on resistance groups (eg Oct 7, tunnels, Sinwar’s location).

But the regime has also often spread false info about killing Hamas members to convince voters & Western sponsors that it’s winning + drain Palestinian morale as part of psychological warfare + boost its position in negotiations + cover up killings of civilians. Yet Israeli claims are still accepted at face value by journalists & officials.

Today Israel freed 200 Palestinian hostages in exchange for 4 female IOF soldier captives released by Hamas

In Gaza City (north), Hamas handed the 4 soldiers to the Red Cross on stage, with a large number of Hamas fighters who carried weapons seized from IOF soldiers

Hours later Israel released 200 Palestinian hostages from West Bank Ofer prison — 114 Palestinians arrived in Ramallah (WB); 16 Palestinians were released to Gaza’s Khan Younis; 70 Palestinians were deported to Egypt

Those released to Gaza are being medically examined in Khan Younis’ European Hospital. While masses celebrate the released Palestinians in the West Bank, raising flags, shouting slogans, giving them a heroes’ welcome. But Palestinian Authority (PA) forces were seen confiscating Hamas flags from those celebrating

‼️ Israel already detained a freed hostage, Ashraf al-Zughayer, hours after his release. IOF raided his home & abducted a family member

Some of those released had been held captive for decades; 121 serving life-sentences; 79 long-term sentences. 70 were released to be immediately deported, they arrived in Egypt to then choose between Algeria, Turkey, or Tunisia — depriving them of reuniting w/ their families

A number of occupation soldiers were injured by the explosion of a heavy explosive device and a clash with the resistance at "Talaat Al-Ghabz" in the vicinity of Jenin camp.

Since morning, children have been detained in a kindergarten and nursery opposite the government hospital in Jenin, due to the ongoing occupation invasion.
