Ubisoft has announced the cancellation of the Driver TV adaptation, initially set to debut on Binge. Despite this setback, Ubisoft assures fans that they are actively working on other exciting projects related to the beloved racing franchise.
Speaking to Game File, Ubisoft spokesperson said, โWe are actively working on other exciting projects related to the franchise and canโt wait to share more information in the future.โ
Once considered a rival to GTA, the Driver series has a rich history and a dedicated fan base. Although it's been a while since the last mainline game, "Driver: San Francisco" in 2011, and a mobile game in 2014, Ubisoft's commitment to the Driver series remains strong. Game For Peace, the Chinese version of PUBG Mobile, is set to launch an exciting new 24v24 game mode called "Exciting Battlefield" on July 23, 2024. This mode will feature heavy helicopters, tanks, and strategic gameplay on a specially designed map. With 48 players in total, expect intense combat and thrilling objectives.
Given the Chinese version's history of introducing new features first, there's a good chance we might see this mode in the Indian version, BGMI, soon.
