Site Electrical Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Design and Implementation:
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and communication systems.
- Ensure that all electrical work is carried out in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Site Supervision:
- Monitor and inspect electrical work on-site to ensure adherence to design, quality, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, electricians, and other trades to ensure smooth execution of electrical installations.
- Resolve any technical issues that arise during construction, providing on-site support and guidance as needed.
- Quality Assurance and Safety:
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures for all electrical installations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and safety audits.
- Prepare and maintain detailed site records, including reports on progress, issues, and inspections.
- Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate electrical systems with overall project plans.
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules, ensuring that electrical work aligns with overall construction timelines.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates on electrical progress and addressing any concerns.
- Technical Documentation:
- Prepare and review technical documents, including electrical schematics, calculations, and material submittals.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and operation manuals upon project completion.
Education and Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as an electrical engineer in the construction industry.
- Proven experience in overseeing the installation of electrical systems on construction sites, including commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Experience with power distribution, lighting systems, fire alarms, and communication systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning:

- Lead and manage the project team, ensuring clear communication of roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
- Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues that may impact project timelines or budgets.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring strong working relationships and effective communication.
- Prepare and present project reports, including status updates, financials, and forecasts, to senior management and clients.
- Quality Control:
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and industry standards.
