*RBI's October 2024 monetary policy review, the key highlights include:*

*Repo Rate:* The policy repo rate remains unchanged at *6.5%* for the 10th consecutive time to control inflation.
(Repo rate is the rate at which RBI lends money to banks)

*Policy Stance:* The stance shifted from *'withdrawal of accommodation'* to *'neutral,'* focusing on controlling inflation while supporting growth.
(Neutral stance is a positive move towards cutting rates in the coming quarter)

*Inflation Outlook:* Inflation remains a concern, particularly food inflation, but is projected to stabilize around *4.5%.*
(Inflation is a major reason why the rates are not reduced in this quarter)

*Growth:* The RBI continues to prioritize durable inflation control without stifling growth​

*Overall a positive outlook which may reflect in market moving upwards*

*Market Update*

Last week (30th Sept - 4th Oct) Nifty has moved from 26300 to 25000, almost 1300 points down in 5 days. 25000 is the immediate support for Nifty and if it breaks then the next immediate support is at 24750.

*Why is Market Falling?*

The primary reasons are

*Tension between Israel and Iran*

*Global Sell Off*

*FIIs shifting their money to China*
(In last 3 sessions FIIs have sold shares worth 30,719 Crores. In the same period DIIs have bought shares worth 26,428 Crores)

*What Next?*

This week (7th - 11th Oct) there are 2 major events which will impact the market

9th Oct - *RBI Monetary Policy* (expected to cut rates)

10th Oct - *US Inflation data will be released*

*What should I do as a Investor?*

If you are a long term investor (which you should be) you don't need to worry. *Invest and stay Invested* market will correct itself in due course.
