You will be able to upgrade your D223 tokens via the dex223.io page in a few days.

If you are unfamiliar with the smart-contracts interactions it is highly recommended to wait until its released and only interact with the migration web service.

D223 token needs to be upgraded to a new version.

If you have purchased the tokens before 1/11/2024 then you will need to upgrade them. You will be able to upgrade your tokens at dex223.io page in few days.

If you are familiar with smart-contracts interactions then you can upgrade your tokens by sending them to the upgrade contract address and specifying at least 90,000 gas for the transaction. This can be done with any wallet that can send tokens out.

Please, double check if the address you are sending your tokens to is the same as the one provided in this announcement. We recommend you to navigate to the Etherscan link and compare the addresses once again before sending the transaction.

ERC-223 token standard would allow tokens to be sent without gas fees.

Users will be able to pay for transactions with tokens they are sending. Block producers would be incentivised to include such transactions in a block as long as the financial benefit from the paid fee is higher or equal to the amount of native currency that this transaction would cost if you would have to pay for the gas.

For example, if a user is trying to make a deposit of USDT that would cost him $3 in gas fees (0.01 BSC gas fee at $300 price) then the user would be able to send this transaction and pay 4 ERC-223 USDT instead of paying the standard gas fee.

This would enable users who do not hold any BSC on their addresses to send out tokens without a requirement to have BSC at all.

The proposal description would be submitted in the next few days.

Note that this applies to non-EIP-1559 chains only like BSC that do not support a burning mechanism for the native currency

Dex223 written development report for October will be published alongside the development report for November (this will be a report for 2 months that will include audit reports, EIP submissions and issue fixes).

Written reports mostly serve the purpose of publishing technical information in an appropriate form where we could provide links, highlight github commits and refer to other information that would not be easily understandable in an audio form.

As the audit reports of our contracts in October were already published it was decided to reschedule the publication of a report so that not to copy&paste the exact same data that was already published on our channel before.

Moving Closer to Dex223 Launch: Focus on Smart Contracts & Security

🔐Security Audit:

- Searching for reliable auditors familiar with ERC-223 for a comprehensive audit.
- Dexaran suggests auditors known in the Ethereum community.
- Security audit expected to start in early October, lasting 2-4 weeks, delaying the launch to late October or early November.

🛠Internal Audit & Vulnerability Fix:

- A critical vulnerability related to token pools was discovered and addressed.
- Redesigned pool creation logic to prevent recognition of similar tokens as legitimate.
This consumed significant development time in recent months.

📕Contract Updates for Launch:

- Minor changes to the routing contract are nearly complete.
- All code changes and commits are published on GitHub, preparing for final launch updates.

🟢Standardization of ERC-223:

- Preparing a pull request to Ethereum by the end of the month to standardize token introspection, enabling contracts to distinguish between ERC-20 and ERC-223 automatically.
- Proposed method goes beyond ERC-165 for contract logic identification, already in use by Dex223.

📺User Interface (UI) Overhaul:

- Major redesign based on community feedback, including colour adjustments and de-emphasized text for better usability.
- UI for margin trading page is nearly final; further updates expected by October 4th.

🪙ICO & Token Sales:

- The ICO round concluded with less success due to market situation and limited marketing efforts.
- Auction round has been canceled; unsold tokens will be moved to the treasury fund, locked in the platform's contract.
- Another ICO round planned for February or later when market conditions improve.

🏠BitMart Listing:

- Dex223 ready to list on BitMart, which supports ERC-223, including USDT and D223.
- Finalizing token version for listing, with possible conversion process before the end of September.
- Market makers engaged to smooth the initial trading phase.

🔄Migration & Token Update:

- Migration of pD223 (Callisto) to D223 on Ethereum postponed due to unreliability of Callisto node. Dexaran will use own node to create a new snapshot and send users the correct amount of D223 tokens on ETH.
- A D223 contract update may happen in the coming weeks.
- During development we discovered best practices for ERC-223 token interaction and introspection that the current token doesn’t fully support.
- An update could be necessary before launch, but we’re still evaluating this internally.
- If updated, a migration process will occur, and both old and new versions will be supported.
- Clear instructions will follow if the update is confirmed.

🌟Responding to community questions:

- ERC proposal for a warning on ERC-20 tokens unlikely to pass due to negative votes.
- Portfolio feature on Dex223 was added to the prototype and provides basic portfolio features + feature to track ERC-223 token positions on smart contracts and margin trading positions and orders.
- Devcon 7 applications submitted for both ERC-223 and Dex223. Devcon 7 team is reviewing application atm.

1. "Default token list" reviewed by the team.
2. tokenlists.org
3. auto-listing contracts (independent from Dex223 team)

Also, Dex223 will feature internal trust-score system to prevent most obvious scams like tokens that mimic other popular existing tokens.
Tokens listed in the default token list will receive higher trust score.
